Yall look like sisters!! Been watching you both for a couple years. I feel like we have so much in common 🤣 We need more bold believers in this time! Full of grace & truth 🙌❤️ I'm a christian mama & wife and we plan to homschool our girls! We are in MI! I don't do any social media so I feel I don't have much interaction with other women online. I've been thinking about making KZbin but I'm kind of uncomfortable to put my life & family online. But I always thought it'd be helpful to have friends & community. We have no family here for us. My husband & I came to the Lord 4 years ago. We were addicted to heroin and homeless in abandoned buildings. He called us out of that and now we live to serve him and raise our children in the gospel. Most family are toxic & dysfunctional/addicts & they hate God so it's been very difficult and lonely. So grateful for my church body though! Thanks ladies. Such an encouragement.

Wow! I love that you talked about friendship and community. I purposely walked away from many relationships because they were not being reciprocated. I have had so much guilt over it. I appreciate your confirmation that it’s ok to walk away from relationships when the other person is not invested.

Wow I loved your Q&As. I found them really informative, not just surface level stuff. Ashlee, I love your self discipline and strong mindset. I found you looking for curriculum, but I’ve come to know you, watch you grow and look up to you because of our similar childhoods and the trust I’ve built in listening to you and watching you grow. This is the first I’ve heard of Jamie and watched her, but I’m sure she is equally as wonderful as you! I really loved two specific things you spoke about on Jamie’s video. Firstly, working through your childhood trauma as a homeschool mum. How do you learn to be more gracious to yourself? How do you work through the emotions without becoming a victim in more detail? How do you stop your childhood trauma becoming your identity? Could you do a video on how missing a day of school is not an after choice it’s a pre determined choice - don’t let emotions and events of homeschool day affect how much homeschool happens. Character building and lesson learning…can you expand on this please? How did you/do you continue to produce the fruit of keep going despite emotions, attitudes and events?

I live about 7 minutes from the Pacific Ocean and can hear it from my house. It still takes my breath away. But I still get stressed since we had kids when we go, it is beautiful and terrifying at the same time❤

I totally feel you about wishing you had more homeschool opportunities in your area. I live in a smaller town and there are definitely only a select few homeschool moms here, but that is why KZbin is great because it provides another source of encouragement for homeschool moms who also are a bit of an island in their homeschool journey within their environments/locations. ❤
