Hi Kim, Marry Christmas! The holidays bring all sorts of emotions and mine never matched the TV movies. I have one son and a grandson whom I was fortunate to spend Christmas with. Seeing Christmas through a child's eyes is the best and I'm so grateful for the opportunity to be with them. It is important to spend time with those you are closest to whether they be family or friends. I'm a New York gal and understand what December is like in florida; have to rely on the memories. Happy Holidays🎉 Nice to have that "drove to all the states" goal and accomplishment - I like telling people (though no Alaska yet)! Yeah, since I usually live in northern states, FL just never seemed to fit, and I too just dont understand the desire to be there long - 3 days for me. Nice to become aware of what is important - like family at Christmas season for you! Congrats! And in memory of your mom and my mom 2019 ... and my friend's mom, gma, and aunt in past years. Turns out the date for me and my friend is the date actually brings back happy memories instead of sadness. Interesting.

The first week of December I was camping with friends at Rainbow Springs State Park, Dunnellon, FL and the temps got down in the 30's. I live in central Florida and actually December 2024 has been cold most of the month. Yesterday, Christmas, we only had a high of 65.

Yeah, I'm learning how northern Florida has cooler temps than southern Florida, and of course, my plans has me heading further south 🤦🏼‍♀️ I'm kind of in the middle right now and Google weather says around 80° for another week 😫 d

Happy Christmas Kim! We used to have such fun in the old days. It's not like that anymore. Even when we went to LV with your Nan one year. And all the times everyone came to my house and pretended they liked my Xmas pudding. I know Xmas must be hard for you because it's the anniversary of your beloved Mom's death. I miss her too and I'm sad she and Joel never got to visit me in the UK. Anyway, I hope you enjoy your prime rib and save a bit for the doggies. Sending you lots of love and hugs for 2025. xxx

I love it!! I had to look up what a Tom & Jerry was - sounds yummy (well except for the rum - lol) I had a terrible Rum Ball accident as a child 🤣 thought they were regular chocolates and took a whole handful 🤢 big mistake 🤦🏼‍♀️

Hi Kim: Happy Holidays! I think you’re doing a good job of taking care of what you need to get through the holidays. I’m in Florida now - just moved here from Texas after being there 50 years. And, I’m with you - I HATE for it to be 80 degrees in December!! Santa doesn’t know where to come, because there is no snow anywhere. I have to flag him down!! lol Don’t do this to yourself again. You seem to be the kind of person who needs that touch with friends and Family. Glad you got another dog, too. Animals do better in 2’s. Not as lonely. Take care of yourself, Kim. This year (2025)no - but maybe the following year (2026)? I go to Pahrump & Las Vegas in November & December and then it's just 3 hrs to Q from there...so, it's possible. How about you? Are you planning on going this January?
