Wow. The perspective with homesickness and everything was awesome. I did not personally expect to receive anything from that since I am CA born and raised but I have been struggling with contentment because I have a lot of friends moving out of state for a “better living.” I have been feeling conflicted with that, but you sharing on the fact that there is NO perfect scenario was amazing. 💗 “excepting what you can’t have is healing” I have moved every year for the last 14 years (30m radius). This year instead of making the plunge and moving states I’ve tried to take a step back and find things I do appreciate instead of having negative tunnel vision.

Enjoyed this even though it really didn't apply to me. I do agree with everything you said. Most things are a personal situation and one answer is not going to be what is right for everyone. I think people put more into what others think than what they themselves actually feel they need in their life. I am quilty of this myself at times. Good honest advice you gave for sure.

You are so insightful. What really resonated with me was not resenting your partner for not seeing things around the house that you do or not being able to read your mind on what you need then to help you with. Those small communication things can snowball and bring on so much resentment and problems in a marriage. Been married for 16 yrs. Great advice.

I agree with your first answer. Your husband/ wife is supposed to be your bestie, partner-in-crime, buddy, and you should treat them as such. I also read this book that said love is not a feeling, it's a thought. Bit controversial! But they explained that no feeling lasts forever, so you should always put the thought, time and effort into loving someone. Not just a partner, but with all of your loved ones.

I have PMDD, so I have a sensitivity to hormones and just want to share in case anyone else is in the same boat. I use the copper Paraguard IUD since it doesn't mess with my hormones but also means I won't get pregnant. I honestly didn't know it was an option to have a medical, non-hormonal birth control, so I just wanted to share
