A lot of these very same new viewers don't seem to know that Uncle Larry made a couple records that they could potentially listen to...
one is an instrumental solo record called "Plexi Soul" that is available here:
tombukovac.ban...
another is an instrumental collaboration with his dear friend Dean Deleo (originally from the Stone Temple Pilots organization) that is available here:

Hey Tom! I’d love to know if you’ve ever sat down with an Evertune equipped guitar. I would go as far as saying that the bridge system is game changing.

@@stringlocker I bought a lesser known brand (VGS) superstrat on the used market equipped with an Evertune. It was the very first brand to collaborate with Evertune…late 1990’s I believe. The first 5 years I had it (2017-2022), I only had to tune it when I changed the strings. The intonation was always perfect etc… But because it was the very first run of Evertune ever, their proprietary saddles eventually needed replacing. The replacement saddles cost $30 Canadian. Not wanting to spend nearly $300 with taxes/shipping I just resold it. But, those first 5 years of ownership was absolute guitar bliss…and I miss it. I’m thinking of getting another one….just not a VGS 😵‍💫

@@501chorusecho Yessir, I’ve heard others say the same. What was the biggest turn-off for you? Did you feel like the guitar lacked mojo because of all the routing needed to accommodate the bridge? Or is it how it feels when you’re bending?

I wuz just doing a check-up on one of my guitars. Most of them have been languishing in a Storage Container for six weeks while the builders were rampaging through my flat. I gave each one a couple of days in their Case or bag before opening. I didn't want to get them all covered in condensation. Been back around ten days now. Today's guitar showed the neck had gone slack. Gone Slack ??? The damn truss rod nut was loose !!! I never knew a truss rod could slacken so much. She's all nice now though, I'll check again tomorrow to be sure it hasn't gone too far the other way.

Hey Tom, Gray haired, 50ish, stuck in the pentatonic and don't give a shit, dude here. Played one original and countless cover projects over the last 30 plus years. Never got delusional that I would be a session jock or a bonified rock star. I have zero regrets of picking up my brother's Charvel, wanking around, and torturing my parents. I have had some of the most memorable times of my life thanks to the guitar. I've gotten paid, I've gotten laid, and I've gotten the gift of the most rewarding pass time imaginable. Some golf, some fish, I try to be a better picker tomorrow than I am today. Thanks Tom, for keeping the fire burning. It's amazing, brother.

When intonating guitars with Adjust-o-Matic bridges, don't be surprised if you need to forcibly remove and flip the saddles on the G and especially Low E. Makers seem to always place the bridge 2mm too close to the headstock. On bridges with springs behind the saddles, you may even need to cut the springs in half to allow enough aftward travel for the G and Low E.

Fun peek at Larry on the tech bench. Most of that was consistent with how I would restring and setup a vibrato strat, but I did pick a few new tricks, particularly leaving the high E out of the tuner hole and the very minimum up travel. I have always liked having travel in both directions, kinda floating, but that's just a preference thing. Also noticed you are using a hand peg winder. Any particular reason why? I usually grab my power screwdriver for that. Also the foam under the springs. I always felt that free-ringing springs added to the "liveliness", again personal preference.

I have the opposite experience in my musical life although we are the same age. I was one of those musicians who refused to play covers, was all about my own music and creativity. It lasted until the powers that be decided they were going to destroy music and cram rap down the countries and the worlds throat. I was gigging until around 2007 but threw in the towel and now I have a regular job. It sucks in a way but I now build tube amps and collect guitars. Maybe I should start a tube channel?
