Uncle Larry covers a ton of snowy frozen ground in today’s episode...
the week in recap....plus a few attempts at quelling the insatiable needs of the VCB...
and a little neck squeezin' on 6 pound maple cap transition logo tele.
so we have a lot of new viewers recently ...and dearest Rick Beato told me that the video we made together a while back should be coming out very shortly, so i'm imagining there will probably be a few new arrivals from that world...
here's the real inside shit folks...i NEVER ask anyone to subscribe or "smash that like button"....
if you do indeed learn a lot of stuff from this channel and feel like it is indeed helping you as a player, all i ask is that you just throw a little something in the tip jar...
i'm not gonna lie people, it helps pay for beer, food for me and the boys, bills, and old guitars...that is truly all i use it for....oh, and maybe the occasional football bet...
where is this tip jar you say???
You can make PayPal donations to this address:
tombukovac@gmail.com
You can make Venmo donations to this address:
@Tom-Bukovac-1
AND THERE'S MERCH TOO!!!!
a person could potentially purchase a myriad of Homeskoolin' related merch..including several different extremely comfortable and nice feeling T-shirts and some beautifully constructed coffee mugs for those afflicted with thin lips...i pride myself on having the comfiest t shirts on earth...no scratchy bad fitting horseshit here people.. check it out at
dvg-inc.shopli...
AND....believe it or not....i have a new website people....an actual proper website.
thesessionman.com
You can see all kinds of weird old photos there, you can also purchase a download of the live concert i did last December if you like.
A lot of these very same new viewers don't seem to know that Uncle Larry made a couple records that they could potentially listen to...
one is an instrumental solo record called "Plexi Soul" that is available here:
tombukovac.ban...
another is an instrumental collaboration with his dear friend Dean Deleo (originally from the Stone Temple Pilots organization) that is available here:
tripthewitch.b...

Larry- when listening to a lot of top shelf players you start to see the same phrases and tricks over and over. But listening to you, there’s almost zero repeat, no playing “the same old licks”. It is THE most impressive thing a guitarist can do.

I saw Jeff Beck in a Q and A session. One guy asked how to avoid playing the same stuff repeatedly and be constantly fresh/original. Jeff answered “if I knew that, do you think I’d tell you?” Pretty funny.

Very sweet take on "Don't Let Me Down" with a little bit of Lukas Nelson's riffs intertwined, as always sounding soooo smooth Tom. Your vocal talents displayed on "Comfortably Numb" in LA were rockin' and Billy F. Gibbons seems to be the consummate gentleman. Welcome home Uncle Larry!

Today my favourite players and not stars but actual players on KZbin. Toms playing slays me. So much feel and musicality in everything he does. Thanks mate for sharing everything you know and for being entertaining while you do it.

It's 23:30 Monday and my Bills sent the Steelers packing!! First thing I watched on here tonight was Uncle Larry singing the opening "Numb" part, and he killed it! One of the top versions I've ever heard, and I've heard a lot of them!! Great job Tommy!!! I didn't know Irsay bought the original "Black Strat"!? I looked at a Fender CS, then I built my own, starting with an early 90's Clapton Blackie, that the guy said got dragged across Texas behind a pickup. 8) It came out great!! Have a good night, --gary

There are videos of yours I watch, stunned, waiting for the next burst of creativity, mastery, unconscious brilliance and I look over at whatever guitar I have within 5 feet of me at the moment (if I’m at home, there’s always one there) and shake my head… I don’t want to say ‘discouraged’ or ‘defeated’… perhaps processing is the right word. After a bit, when I’ve reconciled what I’ve heard against my life long pursuit and slow progress, I grab it and try figure it out. Following this process since starting to watch your channel has been amazing and humbling, but I have learned more, made more real progress, than I have in years… So thanks Larry. Thanks for entertaining, inspiring and making me a better, more attentive player.

It's been an abysmal -30° F in Winnipeg for the past five days. The look on my dog's face when he's let out to relieve himself... Poor guy. I find it remarkable that people were able to not only adapt to this climate and procreate and see a newborn baby live through such inhospitable weather, but people did it even farther north in an even colder climate.

My Daughter lives in St. Louis only a few miles from Killer Vintage and I had her pick me up that Tunerette. Glad to hear you say it's a pretty good tuner. I know Stafford is a great quarterback. Watched him for 12 years. I am a Lions fan. I live in Kalamazoo. Bet some of your guitars were made here. Any ways I am glad the Lions won. My son and I were at the first playoff game in 92 at the Silverdome. He was 12 years old at that game. Now he is in his 43. Too long to wait to see your team win a playoff game. Stay safe and keep warm. Otis turned me onto you. I watch everything you and he post. I have to wait until I go to St. Louis to get me some Yuengling.
