HOMESTEAD BUILD | Pouring a Concrete Pad for our Air Conditioner

I am quite familiar with the fun of pouring a slab. I only use damaged bags of mix because they are cheaper, or buy cement and mix the sand and gravel myself. The good thing is I do not use a wheelbarrow because the mixer is attached to the Bobcat.

I’ve never seen our stores here offer damaged bags of mix. Interesting. I wonder if you have to ask for them?

@@RockWellAcresFarm2023 Yes, ask the manager at your local Home Depot or Lowes to see what they have culled. I have gotten a pallet full for 50 bucks.

I'm curious as to why you didn't use a tamped gravel base? Also, I've seen some others use some rebar wire. Thanks
