I love your videos. I have been watching them for a few months and want you to know how much I appreciate you. I grew up poor on a farm with 6 brothers and sisters. We ate what we grew and raised. We never wasted anything either. I love your country homestead and would love to retire to one. But it would be a lot of hard work and as I am alone, I probably won't tackle it. I also think you are such a beautiful woman. Your complexion is flawless. Probably in part to the rose water you make. You and your husband seem to be quality hard working honest people. It's so awesome to learn a new way of doing something. Mom and I got so tired of our cinnamon raisin bread coming apart we started adding the cinnamon,sugar and raisin directly to our dough when mixing it up. Then we learned to use brush beaten egg white on the dough before adding the cinnamon,sugar and raisins. It rolled up nice. Held up under slicing and toasting and now we have one more new way to try. Thank you for sharing. Your bread looked so nice with its swirl. And lol I could even smell and taste it.

I yearn to be self-sufficient...now this is coming from a city girl who was the baby of the family and a "little princess". I have navigated life for 60+ years and for 10+ years lived in a cabin on the river on 10 acres...and loving every minute and kicking myself for not doing this long ago. I just retired so I now have time to try all the homemade recipes I've collected, learning how to raise chickens and going to try my hand at a raised garden. My Russian Grandmother who came to America when she was 14 years old moved to Northern Wisconsin and lived on a farm. When I got married 56 years ago she bought me a stainless steel Mix Master. I love it and have religiously used for 56 years and it still works like a dream. It came with two stainless steel mixing bowls one large and one small. Dough hooks were not available back in 1967.

I looked at the link you have provided for the organic flour. It is $49 for a 25lb bag. I buy my organic flour for $12 dollars for 20lb organic and high quality at Costco. With the amount you are paying for 25lb, you can buy 40lb of flour and still have some change left. I just made your Homestead breakfast Raisin Bread. It is raising for the first time now. I am anxious to see how it turns out. I will let you know. It was not hard to make. A lot of times we only have toast and coffee for breakfast so this will be a real treat. I really like your videos and hope that you are handling the cold and snow well. My Kitchen Aid is about 25 years old. The new ones are nothing like the old ones. The old ones were made by Hobart , who makes commercial mixers. Can't remember who makes the new ones now. I wanted a bigger mixer, so I went with a Bosch and I haven't used my KA since. It can make bread dough for 9 loaves of bread at once and my KA sure can't do that! I love it!

Hello Ms. Lori - I bought my Kitchen Aid stand mixer in 1977. Good thing I like blue! Because she is still going strong! I broke a middle finger unloading hay. Slipped on the ice and put my hand out ... So that mixer saves me on the first knead. Thank you for the recipe. We love cinnamon bread, toasted and bread pudding. Boys have been out spreading the contents of the barn onto the top fields. Four calves born so far in 2021. Three boys and a girl. I'll bet you are relieved those days are history for you! It continues to be a key part of our income. As of 2021, none of us work off our farm. Except for the internet, we are living our Grandparent's lifestyle and it is taking good care of us! I have made cinnamon rolls from scratch both at home and at church. The touch has been past down to me now at church in making cinnamon rolls, since the lady that had done it for many years has passed away. I love cinnamon rolls, but never thought about making cinnamon bread out of the dough. Also never thought about putting it in the oven for it to rise and also putting warm cloth on it. Oh my goodness! I love Cinnamon Raisin Bread for breakfast. Yours looks so good and was easy to make. The top about sealing the ends before putting it in the loaf pan was appreciated. Oh my gosh I haven't had cinnamon raisin bread since my mother was alive it's been well over 18 years. Thank you for this recipe I am headed to get my monthly grocery shopping done and raisins are now on my list and I can't wait to make this. Oh and I made your sourdough English muffin recipe and I'll never buy them again I'll be making your recipe from now on they are so good thank you again

I have made bread often through my life, but never have rolled out into one large and then cut into 3 loaves! It was always one at a time, times 3. This is ingenious!! So going to try this one! My hubs loves cinnamon raisin bread! And can't wait to try putting the raisins in at the first, rather than spreading them onto the rolled leaves on top of the butter, cinnamon, and sugar. This looks wonderful!!!
