That old hauling rig of your is a classic beauty. Hope you have some way to store it out of the weather. 350. 4 spd manual, one ton springs and the goose neck trailer. The perfect rig for the job. 😊

A one ton truck pulling 8,000 pounds. That's quite a haul. Everything looks great. In the northern central valley of California, today's temp reached 105. Death Valley reached 123 -- a couple of days ago, it hit 130. About one week ago, a 65 year old man died while driving across Death Valley when the temp was 126 and the truck's air conditioner was not working. That's like driving through an oven.

I recall picking up hay bales in the field on a neighborhood farm as a kid. The were much smaller bales.

I’m allergic to Timothy hay. That’s what I’m feeding my horses. I’ve been getting my hay for at least 15 years up in Bonner’s Ferry. By the way, I get once a month allergy shots for the hay. Lol

I hate to tell you, but bad hay should be used for mulching only. Done storage it with good hay.

Things looking good. I'm surprised with you temperature. You just don't think of the mts of Idaho as being that warm. Just a quick question and I'm certainly NO farmer. Shouldn't ypu have put the old hay in the front and used it 1st???

Maybe use damp hay for garden ?? Great buy bargain..

Be very careful using last years hay. Hay loses more than half of its protein from last year. You will more than likely have to feed grain to give the sheep enough protein. Old hay is fine for filler but very little protein. Pay close attention to animals after they have been put on hay diet. Check nutritional value on line and it will probably suprise you.
