You might think about putting a bleed valve between your spring and overflow barrel. That way you can go by and bleed off any trapped air it might accumulate.

I do remember you and JW getting that spring box & water delivery system fixed. Sure do miss him on your channel. Glad you were able to quickly diagnose and fix the current issue. Tim in northern TN

I really like living away from the city is seeing all the wildlife. Real nice back ground. I only wish had had a creek near by.

We have a well. About 2 years ago we had the pump and reservoir replaced. We added a 10 micron filter and an iron reducing resin bed for conditioning. Been working great Soo far, except the one time the ants moved into the pressure switch...and while fixing it a Stick bug sprayed me in my eyes. Great job fixing this and documenting the issue. 😎

Install a ‘T’ at the joint you disassembled, the vertical pipe on the T with a weep hole in it will solve the water vacuum affect. Thank you for continued great videos!

Your channel has been/is a blessing to me. You two remind me of my husband and myself in so many ways. Teamwork makes the dream work ... and a good attitude and smile make it all worthwhile. Keep doing what you do and thank you so much for sharing a little of your life with us who wish we could be your next door neighbors... a mile or two down the road. LOL As far as water, we have municipal water, a well and are blessed to live out in the middle of nowhere on top of a mountain in an area where springs are so prevalent that a couple of spots on our route are prone to landslides caused by springs somehow unearthed in the past decade or so near the very top of some good size Alabama "hills." After living on Dixie Springs Rd for 15 yrs or so, it dawned on me one day why it gor the name. There are springs all over this little community ... blessings each and every one! Fresh clean water means life and i thank God for the privilege of living smack dab in the middle of his glorious creation!! Prayers for God's blessings on you, my friends!!

We're using spring and rainwater catchment. All our neighbors have wells and their water isn't fit to drink due to iron and sulphur which is normal in our area of West Virginia. We enjoy your videos.

I'm on a private well. When it was first drilled, it made 1/2 gallon per minute - so I had it drilled to 550 feet to give me enough reservoir to run my house on. But since I wanted to be able to irrigate gardens and water animals at some point, I had the well hydro-fracked. It was successful, and increased my yield to 15 gallons per minute! Take care and God Bless.

Thank you. We have an old cistern along with two creeks on the property. We actually found another spring up the mountain that we want to turn into a passive water system for the livestock. Appreciate the look at your setup.

I just bought a very small homestead that is on municipality water. My goal is rain catchment in the next year (we have three large rooves to catch from and it rains a LOT here) and eventually a few hand drove (Louisiana has a very high water table) handpump wells in the following couple years in case of drought and that 'dreaded' climate change.

Just like troubleshooting electricity...half split the flow to see if you have garbage in...great job Chuck and friends 💪. Vapor lock is real in both plumbing and old vehicles.

Glad you were able to find and fix the problem without too much trouble, we've got a good spring on our property, and I can remember one extremely dry year when the spring about quit running, luckily for us, we live along the Yadkin River, and our cows had a good place to get down to it. Wondering, do you have any issues with freezing in the winter time?

Try installing a small air vent, maybe 1 or 2.

Irrigation is a MUST in my area. We have also farm land that is in the "Agricultural Land Reserve" which restricts what you can do on that property. Now, if one lives on that land without producing anything agricultural (and it's supplied with municipal water) it would cost you $12,000 to water that land from April to the end of October. And this is the amount for about 2 acres of land. Our "leaders" have really screwed over so many people that lived on that land for years and now many are unable to irrigate trees and grass because they've made it so unaffordable. They keep telling us we have a shortage of water and I think that's a lot of bull. You see the city watering parks and such at all hours of the day while restricting us to certain days and times. Not allowed to tap into any creeks and they've even given the gears to people that set up any sort of water catchment. Wish we had access to something like you've set up but they would likely not allow that either. I think they just want to force everyone to pay big bucks for water. Heck, seems to be the Canadian way these days. Make life unaffordable and miserable.

have couple suggestions that may help 1 pick up a racheting PVC cuter works well cutting all kinds of hoses relatively cheap most hardware store stock them #2 is an air bleeder valve hydronic heating system use them come couple different styles recommend the automatic bleeder has little float in it that opens when air builds up then shut off when air has bled off key to this working is location of where its currently collecting or maybe create one putting a tee inline with a riser to collect air then a manual or automatic bleeder but manually means you would have schedule time to bleed the bleeder valve may find in hardware store but suggestion to check with plumbers that offer Heating maintenance service or HVAC service and equipment installation as bleeder would be something they stock when servicing boilers or hydronic systems note water H20 all moving water has air (water actually made has oxygen) and the oxygen /air will break out creating air bubbles and collecting at high point causes blockage all home with hydronic/water circulation for heating with baseboard or radiator all experience this when radiator stops heating there a bleeder usually manual as they smaller than auto bleeders Manuel one need cup to catch water crack open bleeder let air off it will hiss then spitting then just water once air trap removed radiator will start getting hot again

I have a spring and getting water from two springs to connection but from connection to spring box don't seem like getting any water as first pipe connection coming out of spring has no water. We are about 8 " from pipe in spring box that allows the water to come out. Please advise what I need to do.

Next time take your impact driver to loosen and tighten the pipe clamps. You can at least start the tightening process and finish up with the ratchet.

Air-lock? What about your "residue barrel" that has an "air-tight" screw-on lid? "Maybe".... just maybe, since the barrel did not fill up like normal, that the barrel needs a small "air-hole" drilled on the side to let air in and out so it doesn't "air-lock" on you! Amen Retired, Veteran
