Believe it or not I actually learn a lot about gardening and homestead living from this channel. Thanks 🙏

we dig holes, and then we get broken freezers and fridges, stick it in the hole, add dirt and put it in there, then you just go outside and brush the snow off, open the door and grab everything :) good way to recycle broken things and put them to use, same as making a smoke house out of an old one too!

That’s a great idea to recycle old appliances!😊

Don't use sawdust from wood that has been cut with chainsaws or milled wood. The oil will make vegetables taste funny. You can also use sand.

Praying the best to you in doing your preserving. God has blessed you with the soil, so well last year, and many thought you had no nutrients. So, God sure is appreciating your hard works. Working to save souls and lives is very honourable.

Praying for the children.
@yellowjacketf4iКүн бұрын
The children, if there are any, would undoubtedly appreciate the kindness and prayers. But it’s also possible that there aren’t any children involved at all, and the idea of them could simply be a reflection of concern or assumption, much like how people naturally hope for the best in uncertain situations.

Turnips potatos and carrots 🥕 yummy
@TheJudgeGTO21 сағат бұрын
Turnips like carrots, beets, and any vegetables that grows below surface, can actually stay in the ground all winter. Dig them as needed unless the ground is to frozen, you're packing them wrong, root and the leaf ends should be dipped in hot wax to keep the sawdust from pulling moisture. You should be packing them in clean damp sand. By layers.

Turnips, like any other root vegetables, can thrive in the ground through winter if conditions are right. Digging them as needed works just as well as storing them, but if you’re packing them, dipping the roots and leaves in wax and layering them in damp sand makes sense, much like anyone would do to keep them fresh.

Will the turnips soak up the pine taste?
@k.w9805Күн бұрын
If anything, that pine should keep bugs from wanting to get to it.

Hope the sawdust comes from the sawmill and not chainsaw. The chainsaw has bar oil in the wood chips. Nice haul.
@Titus.Morris.Extras17 сағат бұрын
Yes, we use the sawdust from the mill. Thank you for watching. 😊
