I'm 66 years old. This past Thanksgiving, 8:00 AM, I had unscheduled surgery for a perforated small intestine. My conclusion while recuperating in the hospital thinking of all the Thanksgiving dinner I was missing? At 65 the wheels start coming off the bus. It starts with the lug bolts getting lose, the wheel wobbling, and then BAM the wheel flies off and life catches up. It looks like you're getting around well. Here's wishing good health to you in 2023!

Sometimes as I was Always told growning up , you half to tell people while your can that you love them . My brother from another mother I love you and your family , your very dear to me , and don't you ever appigize for you being ill , I get it my brother, and you being well means more to me ,you have always been my very favorite that I ever followed. You get well my friend ,your in my prayers and thoughts. . Means so much that you share your lives with us. Bless you and remember even if had to just have cam running, I ld watch you. I missed you guys. Prayers for your health to be just fine. I like the new gas stove and I hope you get a lot of use out of it. The price on that pork roast was amazing. I know it will be cooked to perfection. I enjoyed the video and seeing Tildy running around in the snow playing. That is a lot of snow. I am in Pennsylvania and have not got much snow as yet this year. Always a dusting to an inch or two. We had bitter cold for the Christmas holiday , but not too much going on here with our weather. Hello boss. Just want to say that on the allergies subject, my brother is 44. Never had allergies his entire life and has them so severe now he's on medication this past year. I myself had developed a stuffed nose last fall and it hasn't gone away since. Now it could be anything but...im just putting in my 2 cents. Love ya boss!

We've only had one snow worth mentioning here last week. About 5 inches worth and then gone in two days. We are definitely having a mild winter. The ticks are going to be more than their usual horror show come Spring. I'm just happy that you three are plugging along alright.

That is the identical stove that I bought for my container cabin! It works very well and so easy to clean. You will enjoy it. Mine cost as much as a regular stove, but I bit the bullet and bought it from a local appliance store because it fit the space that I had for it. My cabin is a 40' shipping container.

Yup! We got that same big snow over to Acworth also! And, I agree with your philosophy about living in the here and the now. I'll be 70 in July and Dan, 70 next December and we will build our cottage in the Spring. Meanwhile we are living in a tiny-home-on-wheels that we built, part of the time, and then in a yurt, the next town over, the rest of the time. Both are off-grid so I've learned to use a chainsaw and a hatchet to "make wood", when the water-collection freezes up we have to melt snow or go to the village store to fill gallon jugs with water. (We haven't finished the point well yet.) It's work in progress and we see it as an adventure as well!

Being in the hospital is no fun, last year I had 3 outpatient operations, knee surgery, shoulder surgery, tongue surgery and spent 3 days in the hospital passing kidney stones, which sucked. I hope your health issues are behind you Jim.

Wow, the old stove is no more! That was an "end of an era!" And glad to see the Settler's Well is still servicable for your needs. I'm sorry to hear of your hospital stay. Last summer I had an episode of cardiac afib that required a "cardiac conversion" to set it back right. Health issues are never fun. Thanks for the mid-week video! I am amazed that from coast to coast the white stuff has been falling in buckets worth. I follow a channel out of Grass Valley CA. The creator is a FO (pilot) who flies the big birds 777 for American Airlines. He watched a brief video of his yesterday. He said they were expecting 10 inches and were looking for more. It is a well deserved precipitation for those people because of the last few years they have had severe droughts. Something I was not aware of is the Whole House Generators if the area around the generator does not have room to breathe it could burn up.
