Marvelous 🦌! Good hunting! Worth it? As you well know, this is the price of self-sufficiency. Doing less is just transferring the work and sacrifice to someone else, not eliminating it. 😊 And it means loosing control of your ability to survive and provide. Well done 👍🐷🐮🐱🐶🐐🐓🍲!🌟

Wild animals have absolutely no shelter and they survive just fine. Farm animals have the same body temperature regulation and can survive cold temperatures very comfortably as long as they are dry and have shelter from the wind. Many animals do not like going inside, but once they do, it's hard on them to take them back outside. Dolly is looking for a more sheltered place because of her calf, and goats do need a little more shelter, but look at the animals, they are healthy and well. The proof is in the pudding.

I am so jealous of anyone getting snow. We live in, literally, the only part of Maryland that it rarely snows in. And it's the top part! Last time we got more than flurries was a few years ago. Thank you for your encouragement. We want this lifestyle and feel like it’s what the Lord wants for us as well. We are at the very very beginning! We have to sell our current home to move to a bigger place... but in the mean time we have 20 chickens and are just starting our goat herd! We get the first 3 this weekend. 😍 anyway all that to say, it’s still a lot of work to get one house ready to sell while trying to homestead between two properties. We get discouraged, but KNOW the Lord will bless our effort, and it will be so worth it in the long run. Thank you thank you for your encouragement!

Art, you should have taken 2 sleds, and the boys to the deer. Then loaded the deer on one sled and let the boys ride on the other as you pulled them down to where you wanted the deer's body to be. You guys are getting there, one chore at a time, one new skill learned at a time, with each thing, you are moving closer and closer to self-sufficiency.

My heart smiles every time I see one of your videos... Praying that God will continue blessing you kids... More meat is always an awesome blessing... I miss being physically able to go hunting... I shot more deer with my camera than I did with my rifle, and many other animals I seen out in the woods... I love seeing your whole family working together... Great shot for sure. I always tired to drop my deer right were they stood... We haven't gotten hit with much snow yet up here in S/E Wisconsin. We got a wee little bit Saturday early morning not enough the shovel I'm praising God for that... I almost got my plow tractor ready just in case hope to get enough strength to finish it today. I work on it a little at a time as much as i can. God always gives me the strength to do a little at a time and lets me know when to stop and lay down for a wee bit. I praise God for what I can do each day.... I'm so much better than i was 5 years ago, PRAISE GOD FOR THAT!!! Be blessed... BBE..
