I hope there is something that can be done. If it affects the pollinators, what effect does it have on humans? Were the workers wearing chemical suits, gloves, and masks? If so, your exposure may be a concern.

I regret having to be the cynic here but unless the landowner who you have already said is intimidated by this guy will claim that he was unaware that the guy was spraying or putting pesticides on his property without his knowledge, then the scam artist possible poisoner probably knows he can claim it was a mistake which sounds like something he would do which would then make you compelled legally against the landowner which of course you don't want to do. Contact the DEC. I had a crop sprayer go by(two fields away) and all my Baltimore Oriels died. They just dropped out of their nests into my driveway. Everything is registered that is spread or sprayed. The DEC can track it. The people who apply the chemicals are required to follow dilution mixtures.

I'm so sorry, about the loss of your bee's, and your families live stock, but if your neighbor did this intentionally, perhaps he could have been behind the disappearance of your live stock as well, since there was no sign of struggle. He sounds like he is a very vindictive type of individual, with absolutely no scruples, or decency. Perhaps it is time to put night vision cameras around your property, to see if it could potentially be more, then it, he/she, or they whos causing this chaos on your homestead...

Pesticides can cause cancer later I had a friend who used to clean out waste tanks. She wore all the protective gear but she had leukemia 2 times and it was from her exposure.

Hey Kevin. I do hope you find out for sure. I have/had a pond in my front yard a little over an acre in size. It was a stocked pond. But we have a run off going into and out of it. After they started this spraying the run off ran into our pond and killed all of the fish. So since my husband passed away I have had to drain it completely. We had a deck that ran all the way to the pond so we could fish off of it. So as of right now it is just now starting to refill but I am wanting to fill it with dirt than to refill for it to happen again. I hope you get it all figured out and I am sure sorry for the loss of your bees. Good luck and God bless!!

Those butterfly wings looked like the might be from Eastern Swallowtails, though they could have been Monatrchs as well. Either way, but of those species are endangered, and doing anything that threatens them, or their habitats is not just illegal, but highly and expensively illegal. Might be the same with some of the other affected species in this incident. This is one of those times I'd LOVE to see the EPA step in and do what it's good at - fining people.

Its something inside the box and since they wouldn't go back in they essentially "froze out" . I would look at some sort of parasite or weevil or other parasite. Contact the Agriculture Department of your state or the federal. There was a big law suit up this way about the same kind of thing. Farmers were spraying their fields, the wind would carry it across to other fields. I do not remember the details it was in the paper years ago. Anyway they tracked it back to the farmer and he had to pay damages. Bee's have been dying in very worrisome numbers. It is not only effecting you Id say it is other fields and woods. - Just wrong.
