I have a small fluxcore mig welder which I use with rebar welding together. A few short "dabs" at 200A is usually enough.

Lot's of good progress. You'd be really hurting without that mini-skid. Can't wait for the pour, and the rest of it. Happy New Year folks, from the Adirondack Mountains of New York State!!

All the best Ian & Julie for a busy year ahead. Looking at the video at the 25:00 mark and thinking you could bring the trailer down the top ramp access and would be going downhill and not backing around the stone and battling to get the trailer uphill to the mixer. Cheers Dave.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you both and also the two sausages, everything is looking great, if I could make a suggestion when you pour the top concrete caps make a recess underneath so the water drips off instead of running down the wall also can make a bullnose on the steps when you form them I think would look nicer Continued Success Fabrizio

I’m using my mini excavator with the 80 cm bucket to unload my trailer of rocks and you should get a hitch for your Kubota to move your trailer My lot gets very muddy and I use my B7001 Kubota to move my trailer in the mud I use a wall hook in my drill to spin the rebar ties You lot is looking good if you are in Germany stop by my project site

They have a similar battery tool that does the twisted thing. It works great. If you do this type of thing regularly I would be using it.

Well have a Happy New Year and good 2025. When using the drill to twist the wire ties got a 1/4 or smaller eye bolt and open it up so it'll look like a question mark [ ?] it'll hold on better

Good job guys! Have a good end of 2024, and a Happy New Year of 2025! That mud should be great to make pots of, or maybe mud bath, face masks.... I been thinking about the tracks on the skeedstear, if you had some plates on the outsides of the tracks for protection against stones going in and taring it of, ok maybe still catch up mud.... See you in 2025.....😁😜

You should check out gate city foundation for drains. They recommend using smooth thick wall pvc pipes 100mm diameter with holes drilk along the bottom. Without the fabric as they tend to clogged ove rtime. While the PVC evacuate the debris.

Are french drains just drains there 🤔 😆
@mal62323 күн бұрын
not an allen key, the next time you are in Brico look for a screw in wall hook. Set the drill torque setting to minimum and low gear (if you have a drill/driver) It must be quicker and less repetitive strain inducing than the twister...

Always enjoy the vid’s guys. Classic shouting at the TV “Take the handbrake OFF “ lol.. re the re bar tie. Battery machines are not that expensive for what you need. The manual tie is fine, but we used to use a variable speed power drill to tie potato & grain sacks. Use a vine eye in your battery Torque Drill on slow speed and setting 2 or 3 on Torque setting. Just open the Vine eye slightly to place in the wire eyelets & wiz up. Quick easy and cant slip out. Good over engineering on the drains again should see little to no maintenance needed. Looking good. I think im right Vine eyes in French are Crochets à œil de vigne a 40 mm or more long around 4 or 5mm thick. pack of 2 or 3 will do you for the whole project. Merry Christmas both & Happy new Year

The mini machines are great but for what u are doing a 13t excavator could do all that work much faster but ur making progress and I’m sure snow won’t be far away soon

Maybe a hook will be better then an allen key ;)
@michaeltempsch52823 күн бұрын
That's what I've used, 3/4ish of a circle style hook - far harder for the tie loops to slip off. A fairly weak 12V drill/screwdriver on the 2nd weakest clutch setting let me run the ties in tight w/o having them break. Your results will likely vary depending on your ties and drill though.

First happy new year ian an Julie . 2025 will be a really good year as the big digger will be brought in and dig out ghe foundations for the new house . Question have you got the sips design sorted out and are you still going with then putting it up and roof on then . You and Julie doing the rest ..? It does make sense I know you both wanted to do it all but there are certain thing s have to happen to get the house certified and all that for planning . All the best to you both looking forward to the next big build happy new year in 2025 😂❤

The auto translator put a bat translation of French Drain, the good one will be «le drain de French» and not «le drain français» because the French in this case it's a family name lol.

Well done merry Christmas and a happy new year! How will you stop damp rising into the structure from the walls? Will you put an isolator membrane on the blocks?

hi could we have a full up date on the nmoman skid steer . hi have got a price from them with a twin cylinder 22ph diesel engine KOOP brand the same brand as my mini digger. the price all delivered to my door shipping tax and customs all paid is £5,300 uk pounds which l think is good, but l want a 4 in 1 bucket so will have to see how much more money they want for that. but l can now buy a 13hp petrol one, from plant dealers. not a nmoman brand thou for £3,500 pounds plus vat which makes it £4,200 pounds. but the my not be as well made as yours. cheers adrian uk. l have a miniature railway 2/3 mile long .
