I’ve been using my urine in my compost pile and diluted to water the plants. Never thought to use it on the weeds! Really glad I watched this 😊

I have big buckets of biochar I made sitting next to our fire pit (where the beer drinking takes place) and we pee in those buckets, charging that biochar full of nitrogen and other nutrients then I compost the biochar into my normal piles. Works great.

How much goes in? I’ve been using a bucket of char as a urinal for 3 months. Doesn’t stink yet. Is there a too much?

This has worked great. Its a great combination for the homesteader or gardener living on a budget on low nutrient soils.

Idont dilute, i just water the plant first so its soaks and running out of rhe bottom then pour the urine on it. Never had problems but i drink a lot of water probably too much sometimes.

That was brilliant it love the joke I was cracking. I farm and I want to naturally grow big melons because the women on de island Grenada love big tings. I know that Uria is manufactured but and is used to grow melons. I guess u better get your the bottle and give it a go. I’m a Rastaman eating only Ital/Vegan food. That should improve the quality of the output?

The better we eat and drink, the better we pee. This stuff will boost your production, no problem.

Our sewerage system made absolute sense in the past as it was about preventing disease. Today we can prevent disease and utilize these wastes as fertilizer, but doing this on a large scale won't work if people have to bottle it. Our sewerage plants could be adapted to make use of the high nitrogen and phosphorous levels of urine, but that will require some serious investment by government. Today many sewage plants will make use of the solid waste, but a lot of the high nitrogen waste gets pumped out to rivers and the sea. It's an incredible waste but it could be recovered with large areas dedicated to absorbing the nitrogen. The greatest obstacle is, ironically, environmentalists who refuse to allow the expansion of such systems.

But we can all start at home, with a bottle or pee diverter in the toilet, centralized solutions just get in the way, but I hear you, everyone in the city would have a problem, especially if they don't have a garden. Cities are a little more difficult to make sustainable.

Thanks! Good research and uses. Do you think bananas can get too much? I've just diverted mine to the banana circle with taro and cassava and a few other things, so far so good, but not sure when its too much. Any thought? Cheers!

Bananas can take everything you give them, but it might not be great for cassava and kalo

It gets darker over time... you want to let it ferment in the sun for 3-6 months before using it. The urea will convert to nitrogen over time and as it does it gets a lot darker.
