DIY Smart Phone Tripod Mount

Here is a super quick and easy tripod adapter mount I made for my phone so that I could use it with a tripod. This is a very easy project that you can do for any phone and requires only basic tools and know how. Thanks for watching:)

That's prerry cool. I made a mount fit my phone too but even more simple. Just got a super thin slim L bracket glued it wt very strong 3m tape to the cheap plastic phone case and drilled a hole in bracket and that's it.

Awesome work!! Question: Does the same mount work for "landscape" video as well as taking "portrait" orientation photos? Or would a separate mount be needed for the later using a longer bolt and spring?

Hi jmurg! Yes, it can work both ways... but you would have to get a longer bolt to use... the same spring could be used though:) Hope that helps:)

Thanks Jess! Yep, just glue or epoxy it (i used epoxy) but glue or rubber cement would work too. And the 'background' boards road in your car to Marley's B-day party;)

I have a trouble with cutting PVC like L shape (in 2:18). what kind of tool did you use for it? can I cut like that at home depot?

Saeam Kim Hey Saeam, I used a band saw to cut mine but I've also used a 'hacksaw' with great success too. Ideally you can use a 'vice' to hold the PVC while cutting but if you don't have one then you can place the PVC on the edge of a porch or patio and step on it with your foot. This should keep it stable while you cut. I hope that helps:)
