Way back 1994 high school student in Surigao city my mga classmate akong taga dyan sa GL siargao, one time invite nila ako mag visit sa lugar nila, back then pump boat and lancha ang way of transportation nila tapos ang wave ang lalaki lalo na pag December. OMG! Sabi ko never akong bumalik d2 sa inyo tapos tawa lang sila sa akin. Right now look at Siargao island who have thought maging popular ng ganito dhl sa mga big wave na meron sila. #surigaononkaw

Having talent is one thing but getting sponsorship and exposure is another. Unfortunately the government don't have the resources or unwilling to promote surfing so this will need to come from private investors just like what happened with Caloy. Be patience, your spotlight will come one day as it took many years for the world to take notice how talented Indo surfers are and now they have Rio Waida killing it in the CT tour.
