It's funny, looking at the thumbnail made me realize that John went through a TON of weapons during their session. Rose stuck to her Thorns of Oglogoth, Dave his shitty ninja sword and then Caldescratch, and Jade used Ahab's crosshairs for a short time before committing to her witch powers. John used a claw hammer, a sledgehammer, the Pogo Hammer, the Wrinklefucker, the Telescopic Sassacrusher, Fear No Anvil, the Warhammer of Vrillyhoo, and the Pop-O-Matic Vrillyhoo.

I will forever be grateful to have ever found Homestuck back when I did, in December of 2017. If I had found it any later, I wouldn't have met all of my amazing online friends and I would probably be depressed and alone. I found it through the music, because I had liked Undertale at the time. I stumbled across Moonsetter, noticed it was a Homestuck song, and I thought, "oh, Toby Fox made music for this? I'll check it out." Little did I know that those small decisions would lead to such amazing memories that I still look back on and miss. I made so many great friends through playing Minecraft with a Homestuck skin and name. I wouldn't have the nickname Kanye if not for them. I wouldn't be the person I am today if I hadn't read the webcomic I know as Homestuck. Long story short, Homestuck changed my life.

the year is 2016, homestuck has more or less crashed rather than ended. someday it will end and we'll be able to close that chapter of our lives. but for now, i have good memories of 7th through 10th-ish grade, listening to what was and is still the classic and central homestuck album (5). listening to medium on long car rides, volumes 1-4 working out, getting really hype for every new albums, and listening to vol. 5 over and over. i think for those of us who participated in the height of homestuck... it was something special. say what we will about how cringey we all were, but there's genuine sentimental value and.. something else. the feeling of being a part of something. so, although homestuck has become too big and too drawn-out for andrew to evidently handle anymore (i bet he wants it to end even more badly than we do), it was something special and in a way, still is.

I was crying when the story started over from Jane with this song. It was like taking a flashback to the very beginning, it was so nostalgic, even though by that time I had only been into Homestuck for a month and a half (a year and 1/3 now???) I had invested so much of my time and had dreams and headcanons of the characters and I spent my bike rides to school thinking and analyzing the story. I miss being totally obsessed. It reminds you of a story you read, once. The next song comes on. And mix of four instruments, blended perfectly together. The gears in your brain turn for a solid five minutes before you realize what this is, and the memory hits you like a bucket to the head. Homestuck. You havent though about it in ages. And suddenly, you remember. You remember a young boy, standing in his room on his birthday. You remember an epic story of time travel, trolls, and words you can hardly pronounce. a single tear rolls down your cheek, as you bask in the memory. you had made so many friends along the way, and that story singlehandedly shaped who you are today. how could you possibly have forgotten? you pick up the MP3 player, and smile as you put it into the donation box. more tears fall, but its a solemn sort of happiness. its over. it can rest. With a firm nod of your head, you turn away and wipe your face. You realize that in time you will forget again. You will forget until you never remember it. Ever again. It will be nothing but a ghost in your past. The thought makes you sad, but you know even though you will undoubtedly forget, it will never be forgotten. goodbye.

Not to mention he just made a videogame- or was "creative director" for one (not the homestuck videogame obviously, although HS characters were in it). If he wanted rest he could have scaled the story down and not made it so hard to end- but he didn't, and that's why we love him, because he continues to defy the bounds of human endurance to bring us the best possible story- if he wasn't passionate about it he could have ended it years ago without any backlash.
