One of the things I love the most about this song is that you can genuinely tell how it was constructed, just a simple layering of Tensei's guitar over Toby's original song. You can even hear, after the initial guitar riff of the song fades out, the smallest remnant of the original riff from the Earthbound hack. Just so goddamn cool. And the Spider's Claw riff to top it all off. GodDAMN.

Both Aradia and Sans are strongly linked to the idea of temporal inevitability and, at their worst, have defeatist attitudes about it. (spoilers below) . . Aradia is canonically the “Maid of Time,” and for most of Hivebent and Alterniabound knows exactly what is going to happen in the alpha timeline, due to being able to hear the voices of the dead. Because of this, she grows bitter and resentful about her inability to meaningfully change things for the better. Sans studies quantum physics and is aware of Frisk’s ability to reset the timeline. Like Aradia, he also grows depressed about it, being unable to “give it his all” until the last fight - you can check the dialogue, it’s all there.

Not enough credit is given to Tensei for adding some killer guitar soloing on top of Toby's original tune. That's what makes this song unique compared to the Earthbound hack and Undertale versions. (Although, granted, the leitmotifs he plays are from a couple other Toby Fox compositions)
