Magic The Cat it depends. The first 1-3 acts are boring, but stuff starts to accelerate when it hits act 4, and act5 is where the story REALLY begins. If you have the patience, Homestuck is a masterpiece. However, if you want action right after the story begins, Homestuck isn't for you. I recommend watching Voxus's KZbin series, Let's read Homestuck. It helps accelerate the story by voice acting, and it makes easier for inpatient people to get interested. Possible triggers: swearing, gore, dialogue walls, and other stuff you don't want little kids to watch. Also, it has one of the most complex plots in any comic I read, but don't worry. Nobody understands it for the first time, but it becomes more clear and understandable later.

I think the best bet for a single movie would be: A - cut out a LOT of stuff. I know it would be harsh, but there's no way even a trilogy could contain half of the weird plot shit required. That might even mean removing some trolls. B - Start with a summary of the beta kids' failure, and then begin the real movie with the alphas and their session. Visit bits of the beta session and maybe the trolls with flashbacks or backstory, but save time by beginning closer to the end C - Have Lord English present from the start. Homestuck manages to go for a long time without a villain, but it might be better to have an already-present enemy right from the start. However, I think Homestuck already works well enough in its current format, and I wouldn't want to ruin that.
