As a Jamaican I can proudly say that of our seven National Heroes, the fiercest and most revered is Nanny of the Maroons, who was an Ashanti warrior princess from the Ghana region, of West Africa who came to the Caribbean Island with her brothers as slaves. Nanny fought the British, In combat, and beat them, so that they were forced to sign peace treaties, and give land grants to the Maroon people of Jamaica. She also contributed to the abolition of slavery for the Jamaican people.

@nialcc6 жыл бұрын
4ABLACKAFRICA - Actually you should worry about what the White man's system teaches. It is the reason slavery lasted so long in America. It's the reason it took another 100 years for equality even to own a home where a Black person wants. Its the reason why Black men are gun down with impurity and Black folks and Black politicians are out protesting for Mexican's babies and not their own sons. Either worry about it now or continue to pay for it later.

What we must all keep in mind are all the thots, video vixens, and tricks that personify the music in real life, while destroying the lives of men, children, and families in our community. This includes the Confused masses of our people (men and women alike) addicted to love n hip hop, fast food, church, and consumption. We gotta clean house so we can build. Wow. I subscribed big time just now. This video was great. I studied African History in college. I knew of the African Warrior Queens. But, nothing like this!!!! Well informed and indisputable. One of the things that is relevant to modern Black people is that the warrior spirit lives in many Black women of today. They have the battle rage but don't know why. They think that something is wrong with them. They cry silently because they are smothered. The don't fit. I come from a long line of warrior women. The women of my family prided themselves on their battle prowess and physical strength. These women beat full grown men in hand to hand combat -often. These women were not gay -by any means. They were just strong warrior personalities. Unfortunately, many young Black women of today feel the warrior spirit within their souls and think that something is wrong with them. They have been told that they should be support only in our battles and not on the field itself. Yet their place is actually on the battle field. They are silently screaming as they try to fit in with a society that is alien to that spirit. They do not know of these female Battle Queens and Soldiers. I wish they did so that they would recognize themselves and put that warrior spirit to productive use. No more street fights and screaming, cursing, rage. The new battle field is knowledge and building. These women should take their rightful place as leaders in this new battle. That what I am doing with my battle rage. .......

Blacks in America and even the Modern day african has been stripped of the tru culture/ beliefs/traditions. There's hella knowledge to be gained from both sides tho. Some people don't want to know their tru history as well as their tru identity but the knowledge is definitely out there.

Hey man it's good to have you back. I share alot of the same subscribers as you. It's nice to have someone else like you on KZbin who can help teach and discuss African history without the Afrocentric BS claiming we were the original Native Americans etc. I'm not sure if you remember me but we briefly discussed a collaboration. I really hope that we can do a collaboration some day. Shoot me an email if you're still interested.

From Nothing I love your channel sm. There's nothing wrong with being Afro-Centred tho, but there's everything wrong with stealing someone else's history.

Keep up the great work! There is so much History to learn outside of what one may learn through schooling and, and or, the Media, common cultural lore. I, for one, am determined to test and season my knowledge by means of greater and varied information. Peace, Regan 🌈

So I just watched this video and it was amazing. We always hear of great kings who established cities and great nations. I am saddened by the fact that I have almost never heard of African queens other than those of my country, Ethiopia. I really want to know more about other amazing, brave and beautiful African Queens as I am sure there were so many of them. Thank you so much man!!!
