Pooh Jeter (Laced. South Bay), Rico Hines (Professional Coach), Bobby Brown (What Yo 1's Look Like) had a camp this weekend and special guest Chris Paul of the Houston Rockets took time to speak to all the campers.

I’m golden State Warriors fan but listening to Chris Paul I do have respect for that guy I just feel bad he couldn’t play the last two games because of the injury. I understand what he means about love for the game. When I used to work at Williamsburg Busch Gardens and we worked from 6 am till 1 am morning the next day (19hrs). We would get off gather up a group of guys and go play basketball down at the park after a full days work and play for two hours. Then go home take a shower take a nap and then get back to work at nine in the morning. It was crazy. I ❤️🏀.

CP3 been my role model for 9 years man, got me into the game of basketball. You can see his mental discipline on the court just how you can see it in this speech. It bugs some people how much he cares for the game man I swear. At this point in his career he has NO athletic advantage it’s all mental. He plays the game right and he lives by that all 4 quarters. Has more career STEALS than TURNOVERS bro. Hope the younger generation can look up to him as I did. Deserves a ring 💍💯

Yall swear you nice but there's always someone down the line that is just as good that's leveling up every time you skip a day, get in trouble, half-ass your drills etc. Off the court matters just as much on the court ---- our main focus is to see how many kids we can get from the playgrounds to stay academically eligible for at least half the season so they get a little taste of being seen, being depended on and then how they react when they gotta sit out and watch quiet dude at the end of the bench take the spotlight cause they practiced hard every day, had no ego, didnt cuss at the teacher, get in that fight, didnt let their grades slip

Good speech but these kids need to pursue an actual career rather than dreaming about winning the lottery and making it to the NBA. Im not trying to be that guy who is trying to talk crap and say it's impossible and be salty, but I just think Chris Paul should be preaching to these kids about going to college and pursuing a real career rather than a sport that only pays 1 in a million people. Atleast preach a plan b and tell them the truth that more than likely not even 1 of those kids will make it to the NBA and that doesn't mean you failed it just means you are meant to do something else..... again I hope you guys understand what I'm saying and don't think I'm just trying to be some dumb internet troll.
