I lived and worked in Zwedru, Grand Gedeh County as an Agricultural Economist during 1984-86 . I visited Tuzohn a few times and once had a good chat with the mother of the then President Samuel Doe . Is there a video about life in Zwedru today ? It was a great experience but it is all such a long time ago - nearly 40 years -and Liberia has been through so much . i used to drive or be driven from Zwedru through Nimba and Bong Counties to get to Monrovia and back .

Late President Samuel Kanyon Doe lost his life to the Prince Yormie Johnson rebel faction. Late Master Sergeant Samuel Doe, was the then President of Liberia during the Liberia civil war started by Mr Taylor. He made an ill-fated visit to Ecomog headquarters only to be captured by the Pribce Yormie Johnson faction. He was shot in the leg and taken to the rebel camp of Prince Yormie Johnson were he was tortured to death. Unfortunately, President Samuel Doe did not even develop his village of birth despite holding presidential power for decades in Liberia before his unfortunate death.

@@dembabah7149 Relax, and stop telling me not to be difficult. This is a simple back-and-forth, and there is nothing “difficult” Happening here. Was Doe officially a president of Liberia in 1980? The key word here is “officially.” I'm not discussing when he overthrew President Tolbert in 1980. My research is based on the election that made him a legitimate president of the Republic of Liberia in local and international settings. There is nothing wrong with you considering him a president from 1980, but don't come here calling me difficult as if I'm wrong.🙌🏿
