Hey guys, Byte here, I am continuing my Homeworld series playthrough with Homeworld 2. This video will cover the game startup, intro, and the first mission Tannis Station. Homeworld 2 was released September 16, 2003. It's the third game of the series, and the last to be made by Relic Entertainment. Relic was acquired by THQ when they purchased it from Vivendi, and in turn Relic had obtained the rights to the Homeworld Franchise as well. However during their time under THQ they never had the opportunity to make another Homeworld game, and when THQ filed for bankruptcy, Gearbox Software purchased the rights for the Homeworld IP in 2013 while Sega acquired Relic Entertainment.
I will be using an original copy of the game that I have had from around the time the game release, but if you're interested in playing it yourselves, you can play it through the Homeworld Remastered Collection on both Steam and GoG, which also comes with the original version of the game.
