Homeworld Mobile patch 1.0 - Credit farming and Strikes!

You need a lot of credits to unlock higher tier ships, particularly flagships. I recently finished a tier 2 explorer and it needed a bunch of credits so I thought I'd show you how to farm credits effectively.

Please bear in mind this video was made before patch 1.1 so the insignia rewards for strikes have now changed. The strike guides are still relevant but you can't consistently get the same amount of credits from them as you could before

Great video! Can confirm this is a good route for F2P players. It may seem really grinding, but keep on mind: running strikes ALSO gets you rare blueprints for beefing up your fleet and refined materials (which helps overall).

I've payed and I like the format it's pay to get ahead faster but not at all pay2play or win. My complaint the chat glitch keeps me from running strike and is game breaking and still no patches.

Also, do you know if the T2 Flag is better than the one you can buy with the starterpack?

You have to research and then fabricate a resource controller (In the escort slot), equip it to the escort slot, then select it in the movement UI and there should be a little resourcing icon you can tap and it'll jump out for 4 hours. After that when you log in you'll receive some ore depending on the tier level of the resource controller. Be aware you can't use an escort ship while this is happening so you probably want to save it for when you're not going to be able to play for at least 4 hours.

Any suggestions on what weapons or ships that are good to focus on?

it depends, the idea of quickly destroy a ship is to break armor quickly and deal damage, the energy type weapon like ion cannon, bomber, or pulsar gun are effective against armor but not so effectively deal damage to the hull. the kinetic weapons are more balanced against armor and hull but effectively on the hull; clearly, pure kinetic combo can't be quick. the missile type weapons are very effective against hull but weak to armor. So balanced combo can be: T1 explorer 1small missile bay, 2medium kinetic connon, 2bomber,2fighter or 1fighter 1assult corvette use operator skill kinetic burst with squares break armor and use skill missile barrage deal a large damage

@@dach829 corvet is on squads slot, it can both handle attack enemy craft and ship but easily be attacked by missile and fighter frigate is on escort slot, majorly on the ship to ship combat but also has some anti craft ability

@@chrisyang9008 What you think about t2 carrier cuz now I'm in about to move from t1 Carrier to t2 carrier and i spent all my money to buy blueprint and start making machinery parts and other but I'm already at chapter 21 and i want to have Battle cruiser and i don't know if what to do Should i wait to find battle cruisers in strick mission box Or just keep going on fabric t2 carrier Any thoughts

@@ahunter107 the strike mission is still unavailable to me so I don't know what battlecruiser be like,but I chose T2 carrier instead of T2 explorer because carrier have some advantageon squad, 6 squad slot means I can make 6 collectors mining, which is 1.5 times fast than explorer 4 collector, on the other hand, 6 slots make me always hold 1 slot for collector which can pick the package during battle and sometimes make a little emergency repair. the explore and carrier have the same amount of weapon slots even the explorer is tougher than the carrier but I think it worth

I'm well past lvl 20 but the chat glitch has locked me out. I've sadly spent money and can't do strikes at all. I'd of spent more but the lack of fixing this glitch I'd keeping me from giving them a dime more till it's fixed

Bug is intermittent, clearing cache and doing restarts usually gets me in... after 5ish attempts

Chat bug blows, keep restarting the game until in the social menu chat looks like a chat bubble instead of a lock.

I beat the game...and just don't see the point playing. All you can do is try to max a tier III ship, guns, crew...but for nothing. You cant own systems, you can't fight over territory or attack other players bases....just no point.

Mobile games do tend to have an end point in their progression, which the Devs will likely add to over time if the game is doing well enough to warrant it. So stock up some resources and watch out for patches. Alternatively, play something else until you can play more HWM. It's not going anywhere. Today's patch is going to fix a lot of bugs and introduce some content so have a look after the maintenance

Community has been asking for a 3vs3 arean which is about the silliest thing ive heard of given you can play MANY free space combat games that are pvp area and not have to build or grind them so....this game is DOA.....Dead on Arrivel. With out player ownership/fighting over systems there is zero end game. Also, its not "devs" its just One...one dev. Hes not going to be able to code amazing full content updates every 6 months. More like fix bugs for a year, and maybe a year from now, you will get that 3vs3 arean, play it for 1 hour and get board.
