Homeworld Mobile - Controlling your ships + some useful resources

I wanted to give a bit of a guide how and why to use groups in HWM. I've also added in some useful resources you should all check out if you haven't already:

I realised I accidentally missed out number 11 in the list on the video, my bad.

Actually I found that we don't have to put units in groups to target them separately. We can just drag the unit card to trigger the classic movement circle, and drop on the target. For instance, when mining we can drag the icon of one resource collector from below, and drop it on the asteroid. When finger enters a mine-able asteroid it shows a mining icon, and releasing the finger after seeing the icon issues a mining command. I used it a lot when I want to spread my resource collectors to different asteroids so that they don't all "queue up" in front of one asteroid. The drag-and-drop technique also applies when issuing attack commands. However, the "hitbox" of issuing an attack command too small on my phone, so it is very hard for me to target moving hostiles in battle. In this case, grouping and issuing attack commands from the lists on the right is better.

You can move units from the sensor manager. You don't have to get out to do the move command. Also previously units used to move with the command ship by default, but for whatever reason they undid that :(

Ikr, I miss that they used to be able to follow when undocked. Now I often click guard while moving the captial ship

I usually rather than pressing on the unit model. I drag the units card from the UI and then dropping it where I need it to be. Same goes when I'm in sensors manager.

Hello! Been playing this lately and I love it! Now, must I recreate my groups each time I jump to a cluster or system?

Your videos helped me a lot. My problem I can't join discord, and I wish you could do more about turrets. At Tir1 I have multiple selection an takes a lot of mineing to upgrade them. Witch are better so I don't waste another month mining? Please

so can we guard our mining collectors, using this method? I ask because I moved my carrier away from leaving them vulnerable before now. A real pain if you bring only 1 collector in your loadout.

really wish the groups stayed in place after you jumped, so you could set them up before arriving in hostile mission.

Unfortunately there isn't any yet but the devs are working on updating what they did in the beta. I'll try and cover it when it gets released.

Its personal preference but I would recommend saving your credits for T2 stuff. It's expensive.

There was some pvp in the beta, which the devs are working on. The game has only been out a few weeks, I'm sure there are going to be a bunch of updates. They said there would be a roadmap soon.

game is too chuky for mobile 'on go' playing and too 'mobile' for desktop :(
