Question - what is the point of Starbases? Seems to me that by the time you can afford to build one, you've already built your T4 ship, squadrons, weapons etc? Or can you only build T4 flagships via a Starbase?

There's a few benefits to having a Starbases, but lets be real, it's a resource sink for late gamers, which is great, because atleast there's new gameplay elements. Main benefits: - Second Active fleet without ships that die constantly. - This mean roughly double the Fabs/Refs/Labs of your normal fleet, - PLUS Starbase specific modules like the T3/T4 RE, Gas and T4 Crystal Modules, as well as the new Ada Starbase module. - Great place for "useless" officers before the Great Exchange Purge. - Upgradable and staffable Shipyard for the best Flag and Escort Production. - and honestly we're getting new Starbase content each month, so its always expanding.

@@verticalbarmedia What do you mean by a second active fleet? What can you have another fleet that you built join you in battle? Why would you care about T4 flag and escort productio n beyond normal shipyards as there are only two t4 flagships? Sorry if obvious questions, im a new player who is enjoying the game and only just got into my T3 carrier with my first 2 T3 weps made at around chapter 28. Means I'm not far from chapter 31 where star bases unlock and wondering whats it all about. Do people lose t3 squadrons all the time and need the production power of a starbase or something for T4 missions?

Alot of players sniped the enemies at the end, but my favorite attack is a wave of bombers. Just build like 30 bombers and keep sending them until the enemy is toast.
