Built in 1952, Lizzi's traditional colonial home has been masterfully transformed into an inviting space designed for entertaining and creating lasting memories. @@jr-pr9lwI designed and built a Tuscan home in Cali. I was forced to put canned lights in the bathrooms and hallways. I included wall sconces in the original design and just never use the canned lights.

I knew there was something special about this lady: how she sashays up to the front door at the start, how she elegantly sat down and arranged her skirt...yep..her mother was a fashion model....the apple doesnt fall far from the tree. This host is so gracious and relaxed, comfortable in her own skin, practical, realistic and warm. I agree and give a nod to: everything doesn't have to match perfectly. She does it "her way". I love that she sees the value in an older home that maybe doesn’t have the huge magnificent entryways or vaulted ceilings throughout the home that’s the popular trend, yet her style is excellent, realistic, and demonstrates she values classic traditional “never gonna go out of style” style. I am in love with this and will be watching over and over! Stunning home! Her personality is calm but knowledgeable and would be excellent to work with!

WHat I really loved was when she said... there were no short cuts..it took a lot of hard work and passion and hours on planes. It is so easy to be envious of women like her, that look like they have it all. But like she said... she sees an opportunity and goes for it. I haven't done that , so my life looks very different. Thank you Homeworthy! This home is exquisite, the homeowner is brilliant and it’s one video I shall watch again. Lizzie has been well taught by her mother to appreciate good furniture regardless of where it was bought, and a comfortable chair can be reupholstered many times. I too am a strong believer in buying good furniture and giving it a new life (but I don’t paint wood!) I loved listening to her speak of her husband, their happiness shone through in her words which brought a genuine smile to my face. When a home is furnished with that kind of love, you know it will be warm and inviting and though this one is extremely elegant, it’s not so precious that guests will be scared to touch anything. Well done Lizzie, your home is stunning.

Stunning home and owner. So many beautiful pieces of furniture and decorative items. I love that nothing is for best, the china and silverware is used daily, same in our house. Of course its upsetting when a plate gets broken, but it could easily never be seen and broken the first time its used. I'd much rather have seen and enjoyed it many times. I like that her children are learning to appreciate handling these items too. Would love to have seen bedrooms and bathrooms too.

What a beautiful home-love all the personal items along with the mix of color, fabrics, tablescapes. I bet she had many good friends, she’s so comfortable to be around! I felt as though I was right there in her home with her. PS-I have become addicted to Estate sales. I love to find truly special and unique items.
