I have watched many chateau restorations on KZbin! Now that I am officially old (65) I can spend my time as I wish, mostly! I can honestly say there has never been a chateau restored where I didn’t have some disagreement with a decision and/or things I would have done differently. Many times I disliked the restoration a lot! I can honestly say, your restoration has suited me perfectly. It’s just perfect! The only thing that got me was using part of the stable for your dressing room but I got over it! In most historic restorations people are always repurposing the stables and it kills me. I just adore old stables and would put horses in all of them were they mine! What a treat to see what you have done.

I just watched this entire video. Honestly I have never seen such a spectacular chateau and I travel France a lot and have several friends that own chateaus. Nothing compares . I remember spending countless weekends and camping at the chateau as a boyscout more than 15 years ago when the previous owners were still there and it was starting to look rough. There was so much work to do, I never thought it would be saved.

I'm in construction in Texas and I happened to find your channel. I don't think in my lifetime I could ever experience anything so beautiful on a TV and I cannot even begin to imagine experience in person. The talent you have and creative ability to work in such massive spaces in scale and maintain that in every room is unbelievable. Then you say you made it comfortable and made to spill the wine on a sofa or rug? You're a funny guy. It would be so much fun to put a project together like that.

I love Mr. Corrigan is work in general, but the preservation of the Chateaux is saving France's history. That chateaux is cozy. Adding heating and air conditioning through the fireplace is genius!!

My goodness....I have never seen any place so beautiful in my life.....and such a lovely, deserving owner....who is preserving it's beauty for the future.....just commenting from a farmhouse in Galway, Ireland.....my great grandfather built it in 1830 so we are lucky that his descendents are still living here....albeit on a WAY smaller scale than your magnificent chateau..😂...I can feel the love you have of your heritage....beautiful...

One of the most beautiful homes I’ve ever seen! Warm, cozy and welcoming. I can’t even begin to imagine how many tens of millions it took to restore and furnish it to the degree that it currently is, in only 5 years! I assume there were craftsman there working around the clock the entire time in order to get it done in such a short span, considering the sheer scope of the work needed - amazing!! I recall seeing the original video when the property was bought but still empty and the fields were waist high in grasses. I remember the room that is now his office and my mouth just hanging open looking at all the wood carvings that were still in place…it was astonishing! I loved seeing it finished. I just have to applaud & thank Mr. Corrigan. I'm no expert, but I just love old architecture and craftsmanship. I applaud and respect anyone who saves a gem of history no matter the country it's located in. To save a beautiful structure and be able to resurrect it's former elegance. Whilst bringing it into the modern era (bathrooms, plumbing, electrics, & heating) without sacrificing it's original glorious features is a service to mankind. I'm curious to see how many more unique historical structures he will work his wonders on during his lifetime. I'm only halfway through this video, and it's obvious what a work of art he has designed!!! Breathtakingly beautiful.

Agreed, totally respect his lack of ego, willing to show that even the best designers can and will make mistakes. Personally I'm not a fan of his over-filling rooms with stuff, but the foundational renovation is amazing! The dining room is fantastic, wonderful re-design of the chapel, and the master bedroom / bathroom conversion from an artist's studio & stable is also beautiful. Hope he will follow up with a tour of the grounds. Congratulations on one of the best chateau tours thus far - third times a charm!

Just WOW..I can certainly see why this chateau caught your eye ,with all the stunning details of the wood panels,flooring and large windows. and the gardens are wonderfully spectacular! My trick is to go to thrift stores, garage sales and estate sales to find what's needed to decorate the home. Using the designer's ideas of color, furnishings and objects, making a list ( console table with cabriole legs blue and white china, sisal rugs, etc.). Also, listing necessary measurements (window sizes, sofa size, chandelier size, etc.). Then, taking these lists and a tape measure with on the search. I also match objects online, like eBay and etsy for mates to plates, lamps, vases, etc. when needed. My theories are "If you love it, buy it!" and " Be patient, be selective and keep looking. It's all out there somewhere." 😊

As with his previous château projects, this is a stunning masterpiece. Deep pockets aside, the time, energy, vision, and most importantly patients required for such a project is beyond most mortals. I don't know where he finds the time to sleep and socialize given the demands of his global business empire, client projects, and restoration projects like this. While he has a team of professionals assisting him, Timothy is still involved in every aspect of his designs, products, and projects. I grew up in France, in a relatively small château near Chantilly that we purchased in 1960 and turned into a Bible school. It ruined me for the ordinary so I love visiting these renovated spaces. But, I have to say that while some are much grander than yours, I love your the best so far because of the beauty married with the coziness of a place I could readily call home.
