This has to be one of my favorite homes on this channel. Mar has impeccable taste and everything is done elegantly with beautiful furnishings, wallpapers, paint colors and personal touches. I love all the outdoor spaces and how he created functional rooms in the garden spaces. The dogs are soooo cute and I love their neck jewelry.

That was great. A unique personality, and a man not afraid of getting out there and trying new ideas. The house is the perfect size. I renovated a house over a 12-year period, and my gardens were well known in the community. The house had Boston ivy over much of it...trimmed each week, and people would stop and chat and look at the grounds, however modest. Then I sold it in 2020 and much of what I had nurtured was torn out, including the ivy. I still have my photographs of what used to be, and that's enough, I guess. If you renovate, decorate, or create a beautiful garden...do it for yourself, to enjoy every day that you're there.

What a gilded gem of a home! Mar has terrific taste and it certainly comes through in his home and gardens. Will be referencing this video for ideas in my own home! Wishing Mar as well as Daisy and Clover von Schnorkenheimer (sp?) many, many years of enjoyment in their very stylish home! One idea that has really worked well for me: I have several preserved boxwood globes around my home and I can't rave enough about how terrific they are -- very low maintenance -- I water spritz them once a month and keep them out of the sunlight. Adds a lovely additional element to any room. Cheers!
