Homey Pro will not pair with WEMO or Meross devices and I have a lot of them! The apps on Homey Pro only show EU outlets? What did I miss? Is there a version for USA?

Thanks for the video update. Keep it up! Quick question... Pink image tags. I have Sonos in my system and do not have artwork image available in my tag list. Is this something that needs to be enabled or something?

Hey Gary, happy to hear you like the video! Thanks for the positive feedback. To answer your question, in order to have artwork available (I think) you need to be using the Sonos App to play playlists and songs via the Sonos speaker. If you are streaming music via Spotify or other 3rd party apps, then artwork will not be available for Homey to use in Flows. Hopefully this information helps! :)

@@homey I checked that... Still doesn't show in my tags. The artwork does show in the Sonos device on Homey and also I can see the artwork in the image section of developer portal. Just not available in tags. Which I need to push the image to my device. Any suggestions, HW issue? I have even updated to the latest beta RC1 firmware. To rule that out...

This is great explanation, simple. Will do this in our language :)

Great! You should definitely do it. I am very happy you found this explanation helpful. :)

Super. Sa fait un moment que j'ai homey et je viens de mieux comprendre le fonctionnement des couleurs. Merci a vous. J'espère qu'il y aura encore beaucoup d'autre vidéos de ce type de votre part.

How do you make the lights start at the chosen dim level if first being off? At the moment they start at 100% and then dim which is frustrating when you want lights to be dim during for example night time visits to the bathroom
@homey3 жыл бұрын
Hey Johan, I think that often depends on the brand of light you are using. What brand are your smart lights? A little hacky way would be to add an initial Flow card with 0% dim level, and then a delayed Flow card to 40% with a duration time. That might work for you! Try it out, let me know.

Very well explained!!! I was using the name tag for more than a year. Now I want to create another notification with a name tag like at 3min 36seconds. But all of a sudden I can't name this, other tags like date and time is no problem. It seems that the local tags have disappeared. Any idea how I can solve this?

Only odd thing in the lights dim logic is that you need to set a decimal number like 0.8 for 80%. I expected an 80 instead of 0.8 (why would you set 0.8). Probably has something to do with the programming code in the background but the programmers could just devide the number by 100 to get the decimal value needed and users could set 80 for 80% light :)

3 years ago it was all ready time for having a 5th variable type: date/time. it is extremely weird that it is still not here.

What kind of Flows would you make with a Date/Time variable?

@@homey well.. i have created a fully functional dynamic alarm clock. but i had to use scripting, 3rd party apps and a lot of help from the community. f.e. i want to know what time i have to work tomorrow and set a alarm for it. but i also would like to know what day it is tomorrow, or the day after. it is totally impossible to know what next day will be. there are no options to calculate the day of tomorrow or what so ever. thats weird...

@@TheBigTechEddy That's indeed pretty advanced.. maybe HomeyScript is all you need!
@TheBigTechEddy4 жыл бұрын
@@homey that is the app i used for the scripting... but when it is intergrated in homey, everybody can use it... it is also a very normal data type in databases, like int and boolean. It is advanced indeed... now i only have to add my schedule to my Apple agenda and homey will wake me up 1 hour before i have to work. and when i go to sleep, homey will tell me a summery of the day, what time my alarm will go off or i am free the next day. It works now but it was so much easier when i could use date/time within homey. and of course, logic should be updated then to. i also could make a flow where two sensors go off after each other and compare the time. in that case i know if i go in my house, or leave... etc. ao much more possibilities will rise! :)

Being able to use those tags for the delay / dim duration would be helpful. E.g. to let my lights slowly dim over a logic variable amount of time.
@homey4 жыл бұрын
Hey Remy, I like your thinking, this is currently not possible, but we'll take it into consideration. :) I can see that you've already got the hang of Logic. ;)
