Really love the New loft! Can you post a list of materials along with the plan, I know you showed it in 3rd video but was hard to see all details

I hope to make this a future project for me. A few have ask for building plans. Unfortunately the plans I showed in the video where not much to go off of. But I hope to find a computer program that will let me make a model or better building plan for everyone.

Howzit Sean! Eh, you get'em hah with the construction. Your set up going b more awesome. From what I seem in your video, your breeders look good. They will be happy in the new loft. I look forward to seeing your next video. Just one question, how will you clean up whatever drops through the expanded metal floor? Aloha

Hi Gary, yeah I was torn between how high to raise the loft off the ground. I didn't want to make it any higher than I needed to because it is at the edge of my property and a bit of an eyesore for my neighbors. I also wanted it to be high enough for the chickens to get under because they do such a good job of turning everything over that I didn't have to ever clean under the breeding cages. But I didn't want to make it so high that my tortoise could go under because I would never get him out and he's a bit of a wrecking ball. Worst come to worst I can somewhat get a rake under most of it or I will have to use a few jacks to put more blocks under the legs. Or more chickens, lol. Aloha

Hey braddah Sean! Long time no talk. So how is the family? I was wondering who built your lofts. If i had known Id offer my help. Is it complete? If you need help, Id be happy to. I built most of my lofts too. I want to ask you something... When Im ready, Id like to maybe hire you to help me build my loft. Nothing like the size of yours... Maybe 8 by 8 by 6 tall split into 2 sections . you have the skills and tools and i love the flying loft you built. I cant do it by myself anymore and someone who understands what to do to build a loft would be helpful. I dont think its in the immediate future. Hopefully have it done by my birthday in Feb. next year. Think about it and let me know if thats possible. Thanks and Aloha

Hi Brian, happy to give you a hand with your loft. All is well, hope you and the family are doing well. The flying loft was actually built by my mentor for someone else and it was given to me by that person so I can't take credit for that one. I'm not skilled labor but I will be free labor so let me know when you're ready and I will be happy to help. Aloha

AlohaPigeons oh ok. I had some of my lofts given to me too. I appreciate the help. My physical mobility has gotten much better in the last 3 months. Especially the pain i had almost daily. Thats why i havent started my building yet. But yeah things are feeling more aligned for me to move forward a bit. 50 birds, huh? Would you believe that at one point when i was in high school i had a flying flock of 325 birds. Altogether i had about 400 pigeons. I was going through a 50 lb bag of feed every week! Even the police helicopter avoided my house because of this. I know this because my dad was a cop at this time. Hahaha. So i cut my number of birds in half. But when i got serious about racing, i only kept my "zoo" pigeons for fostering. Ooops, im getting windy here...thanks again my braddah!

hey shaun, looks like you had a few animal helpers??lol i wish we could build lofts like that here in the united kingdom,but we get way to much rain, kingzie
@alohapigeons94407 жыл бұрын
Hi Kingzie, yeah I live in a very dry and hot area on Ohau so I hope the birds do well. My family has always thought I was crazy for having so much pets. Now when I tell them I have 50 pigeons I'm sure they want to organize and intervention. But you only live once so do what makes you happy I guess. As long as the wife is still happy also, lol. Aloha
