Awesome videos. Great too watch. Can you please do a video to explain the basics of how the loft works. I should now after watching but as a novice understanding how you keep birds seperate and loft management is still a bit of a mystery. Thanks

Yup, this is a lot of work. I can't wait until it's completed! I think the birds are going to do very well, at least I hope they do.

Hi!! from Dallas tx I am planning to build my pigeon loft do you have some plans or measurements of what you are doing I really liked your idea
@alohapigeons94407 жыл бұрын
Hi fernando 9416, the dimensions are about 12'x12'x6' with each of the two sections being 6' wide. I'm using 3' tall 1"x2" wire so I have spaced my beams on the sides and top at about 3' apart so that the wire has enough area to be secured to. The floor beams are mostly 2"x"6 and spaced to line up with a 4' wide piece of expanded metal. It's a very simple box design loft that you can modify to your needs and climate. Let me know if I can be of any more help and thank you for watching! Aloha

Honestly I would run wood on perch side and expanded metal on the rest I'm telling your going to do much better .
@alohapigeons94407 жыл бұрын
That's a great idea! I have all the expanded metal cut already but I could easily put plywood over the perch side when racing. My mentor said not to race out of this stock loft but maybe with your idea it would solve some of the potential problems. Thank you very much!
@heavyhitter15797 жыл бұрын
Honestly I think if your building it this way you should fly out of this one and use the other loft as breeding just my opinion.
@alohapigeons94407 жыл бұрын
I'm glad you brought that up, I was going to ask you guys what you thought about that. I could breed more youngsters since there's a lot more room and I could separate the cocks and hens. I was just not sure if the loft being so open would have a negative effects on racing form or something. Let me know what you think. Thanks!

Sean....Im sorry...but i have to tease you so hard right now...Hehehe....Pls tell me you were not up at the butt crack of dawn! How many gallons of strong coffee did you have to drink? And you are not building that for pigeons!!!! I suspect Komodo dragons!! Or is it a few Perenti?! WAIT!! I KNOW!! A T-REX!!! LMAO HARD!!! All joking aside. That is the most well built loft i have ever seen! Your pigeons will not be lacking for anything. You continue to impress me, and thats not easy to do! When its done, i have to get a tour! Is that cool? With that being said....I am now going to sexually assault the hell out of the like button!!!
@alohapigeons94407 жыл бұрын
lol! That was literally all day. I don't know if I should be proud or embarrassed that I'm working so hard on a big bird cage. I hope you do come check it out when you have the time.
@bettawhisperer31197 жыл бұрын
LOLOL!! Brittany must be standing in the door way just slowly shaking her head side to side watching you build the loft. The only thing you should be embarrassed about is the fact you need a hair cut and a shave! ( In case you havent noticed because of exhaustion, Im teasing you again!) Seriously, be proud. That loft is possible because of hard earned cash and hard work to build that loft by yourself. Speaking of which, why do you speak in the plural about things done? Unless you include Bob and the chickens, I dont see a "we". Ill email you soon. I havent yet because you must be really tired. Here is a quote...Work worth doing is worth doing right. It definately applies here my friend!!
