Работа проделана большая, это понятно. Но одновременно забавно и удручающе то, что у старых портретов нежити было гораздо больше реалистических фишек. Например, очень ярко прослеживается отсутствие мумифицированных тканей, окружающих рот. Авторы оригинальных портретов явно вдохновлялись реальными находками, поэтому мертвецы у них выглядят действительно отталкивающе. А эти портреты выглядят фентезийно и вылизано. У Моандора так вообще зубы нечеловеческие появились, а вместо истлевшей кожи какая-то глина)

What I really like about these is the backgrounds. I never noticed things like the graveyards in the background before, since they were so small that my eye was always drawn towards their faces alone.

Вокиал и Чарма стали хуже. У Вокиала была небольшая ассиметрия глаз и они были посажены шире, что и делало атмосферу упыря. То же можно сказать и про Галтрана, но тут как по мне удачнее получилось. Чарма плохо сжимается: нет зрачков. Раньше были. А у Клавиуса как будто не было шлема в оригинале. Кажется, что так при разложении облез его череп, а сверху осталась небольшая копна волос. И я правда считаю, что по концепции это был один из самых крутых портретов в Героях.

Tamika- I like her fangs, eyes, and her helmet in the remaster. Straker- He looks even freakier in the remaster! And that's a good thing. Vokial- I'm iffy about Vokial having a beard and a mustache. But the rest of the remastered portrait looks fine. Galthran- His fangs are longer and thicker! But the rest of the portrait looks good. Moandor- Good remaster. It looks like he grew some of his teeth back. The glowing eyes is a nice touch. Charna- Probably the best remaster among the Death Knights IMO. Clavius- The AI did a great job making him look freaky just like in the original. Isra- I always thought Isra had a skull that was partially broken. Seems like the AI smoothed out the broken portions of her skull. Lord Haart (Lich)- Lord Haart in the remaster looks upset as if his eternal sleep had been interrupted by the necromancers.

Vokial's facial hair is a bit of an odd choice, but Charna is pretty much a perfect remaster - a lot more detail but very faithful to the original as with most of them. Clavius downright freaks me out, more or less xD Beautifully done.

Excellent work. But anyway - in original it looks more likely what Moandor missing a few teeth, Clavius have lips - teeth don't seen and Haart Lich doesn’t look so emaciated (by the game story he died just recently)

Damn it's so bad because AI is missing a lot of details put into initial designs - the eye slant being one of the biggest and most mood changing issues. Also Isra clearly has a large gash that goes from the brim of his helmet down to the eye socket and the cheekbone, yet AI just replaces it with some black tendrils and you're happy to leave it as that.
