The reason why some images are more blurry than others is due to the AI model not understanding the source image that well. So I'll have to work with smaller denoising step to keep the result consistent with the original. The outcome is more iterations (i.e. more work), but also more blur, since the AI is is never given a one-shot chance to sharpen the image; A blurry image with small denoising step yields another blurry image, and so on. TL;DR: The amount of blur basically correlates with difficulty. Vidomina and Sandros were quite easy, while Aislinn and Finneas took much more effort.

Thant- I like it. Definitely an improvement over the original. Nagash- The artifact he wears on top of his head looks different. Other than that, I liked the remastered portrait. Aislinn- Her original portrait looked she chipped some of her teeth. I'm glad the remastered portrait fixes it. Vidomina- Her original portrait looks like she is saying, "you wouldn't like what I'm going to do with you." Her new portrait has a less menacing look, and it looks like she is saying, "you don't want to see my bad side." Sandro- Eh, his remastered portrait looks like he has too many ridges between his nose and his teeth. Nagash didn't have that many ridges on his face, and he's a skeletal lich like Sandro. The robe he's wearing looks nice, though. Sandro (disguised)- Sandro needs to work on his disguise spell, because he has too many wrinkles in the remastered portrait. I do like how he looks like he's plotting something in the remastered portrait, though. Finneas- Wow, nice job on his face in the remastered portrait! Finneas also seems to keep his teeth clean at all times in the remastered portrait as well. Xsi- I always thought the grainy textures on Xsi's face were weird in the original portrait. Looks like the AI removed them and gave her face ridges like it did with Sandro. Xsi also looks like she is staring at the player instead of in front of her in the remastered portrait. Nimbus- Hey, Nimbus. You've got something on your eyes. Also, his original portrait looks like he's surprised by what he is seeing in front of him. Septienna- Hmm, she looks younger in the remastered portrait. It also looks like she hasn't eaten anything for a few days.

Hi LiquidValor. I tried using your images while playing the Hota mod, but ran into some issues. The mod works perfectly when playing normal H3 hd mod, but it seems some hero ID's change with Hota. Do you know I that can be fixed?

The HotA team seems to have done some retouching on some of the portraits, and thus these portraits are loaded from data\HotA.lod instead of data\H3bitmap.lod. I tried dumping my remastered portraits to both LOD files, and it seems to work fine.

Often you slightly change their emotions. Lower eyebrows, softer wrinkles, kinder eyes, calmer lips. I am not sure if that's a good idea.
