You cannot even use homogenisation there because in the definition of homogenisation the pair of lines are actually drawn from origin not from anyother point

Point of Interest: 5:35 answer to what does the new equation represent 9:55 coeffs and angle b/w lines - btw, i tried to factorise this homogenous 2 deg eqn, and it was sort of very hard. any easy way??

The curve is not always a pair of st. lines so you will not always find the eqn just by factorising.
