Thank you by far the simplest video for a school project attempt.

Hello I have two questions ? Can I use a paper clip isnated of copper wire and can I use normal magnets instead of neodymium magnets, thanks.
@askasparky65094 жыл бұрын
I guess so, give it a try, let me know. Experimenting is half the fun
@RandomVideos-wu3ig3 жыл бұрын
it won’t work if you dont use copper wire it only works for copper not metel but neodymium magnets are super strong so i recommend you use them instead of normal magnets
@anmolsrivastav34003 жыл бұрын
Dude i bought copper wire and the same as you show but mine is not working and also the magnet is not attracting iy
@askasparky65093 жыл бұрын
Copper won’t be attracted to the magnet as such. Just needs to be as close as possible without touching. Also a little nudge may help to get it going. Let me know?
@TreXsJournal-Coming-Soon2 жыл бұрын
1. If you are using ceramic mangets, they are only strong enough when you wrap them in foil. 2. Be sure the wire is shaped so as not to run into the battery when trying to spin. 3. Make sure it's as symmetrically balanced as possible.

Whats the size of Magnet?
@askasparky650911 ай бұрын
About the same diameter as the battery and maybe 5 to 8mm think. Any size will do as long as it’s strong

@askasparky65093 жыл бұрын
Is it definitely copper wire? As this should not be attracted to magnet. Make tiny adjustments. Also give the wire a nudge to get it started. Hope this helps. Let me know :)

I tried this once and the wire got extremely hot. I cannot stress “extremely hot” enough. anyone care to explain why this might’ve happened?
@askasparky65095 жыл бұрын
Hi It’s acting in the same way a heating element works in an electric cooker or an immersion heater. Essentially there is virtually a direct short across the battery converting the energy stored within the battery into motion and some into heat. Ohms law V=IxR. Therefore 1.5v (V) / resistance (R) = current (I) creating heat which the cable due to its size becomes warm.

there's nothing "motor" about this. it's just an electro magnet.
