Why has the BJP, despite its solemn promises and the evident need for socio-economic upliftment, failed to confer Scheduled Tribe (ST) status upon the six deserving communities of Assam-Ahom, Chutia, Koch, Rajbongshi, Moran, and Matak? What hinders the fulfillment of this commitment, leaving these communities in a state of prolonged anticipation and unfulfilled aspirations? Does the government not recognize that delaying this crucial decision could lead to increased complexities and unrest in the near future, further complicating the socio-political landscape of Assam?
