This is more dangerous than article 370. Just in case if you don't know let me tell you what this Waqf act is. This act gives power to Waqf board. What powers? 1. Waqf board can claim any land as their land. 2. The person is not informed that his land is claimed by Waqf. 3. Technically right now your land might be claimed and you might have no idea. 4. This board has claimed Ambani's land where Antilia is built. 5. Once they claim your land, you need to go to them (not court) and prove it’s yours. what a Joke. 6. Did you know? After government if any board is the owner of largest land, then it's Waqf board. 7. In past they have claimed the land of high court. Lol. 8. The Waqf board had also claimed the 1654 acres of Hyderabad land. 9. The land under their control is being growing since beginning. 10. As expected, this act was introduced by congress to make their vote bank happy. Another beautiful example of secular democratic peaceful congress party of India doing secularism at its best. What about Hindu Endowment Acts ? The Wakf Act is almost a namesake act, and most of the Wakf properties are nder encroached of non Muslims. On the other hand, what percent of Hindu Endowment properties are under occupation of Muslims ? Well, a brute majority can not only occupy minority properties stating that there is no religious denomination or religion other than Hinduism, and further can abolish laws meant to safeguard rights. This is when special laws are created to create corridors. That, again, is when the state and wake board fail to nullify encroachments. Wipe off but assert and preserve in far off lands too. Strange indeed.

As a person from Uttarakhand, people have been demanding a land reforms law. There was a significant protest recently. Since the state's inception, no government seems interested in addressing this issue, nor does anyone care for the Uniform Civil Code. It's puzzling why attention is diverted from checking industries that are destroying local ecosystem to focus on less critical matters.

Gender equality should have been a priority. Remove maintenance, alimony, compensation, etc from marriage/live-in relationships and see 90% fake cases getting cleared from family courts. Neither male nor female would give anything to each other (keep underage children and parents an exception). If you want to separate, then just separate, no money from husband side. Otherwise just stay together and live that happily. If husband/wife does anything wrong, then investigate and punish/aquit him/her. What's this maintenance and all? I totally agree that live in relationship laws are kind of stupid. But there is some positive side to it. We hear it in the news that that many times women and girls are r*aped on pretext of marriage. And I think this will make them more safe. But I still think it is very harsh for most people.

There is one more aspect of live in relationships that we are seeing these days. As couples live with each other and families are generally not aware, they feel no responsibility nor they are afraid of committing crimes if something goes wrong in their relationship. As live in relationships can be ended on the fly without much fuss, it sometimes leaves people in depression and in the worst case, they are committing suicides. There should be better legislature about these issues without making laws authoritative.
