I got a 84 Honda TRX200 for free a few days ago. The motor was all seized up so I got it unlocked, rebuilt the carburetor, and fixed the spark issue and it’s starts up first pull every time and runs like a champ but now the hi low and reverse knob is getting stuck and when I accelerate it’s getting a loud clunk sound and kinda jerks. Any suggestions or ideas on what the issue could be?? 🤔

Gonna check this chain bcz mine does the exact same sound . I adjust the valve check the timming but didnt do anything with that tensioner

I have one of them too just started restoring it found the plastics I needed at a local junk guy I had a couple of land out back and plastics were still good got some other stuff from them give it to me dirt cheap I actually thinking of going back and getting all four of the rest of them that he's got laying around and peace and them all together

The plastics can be tough to find! I think you can buy new ones from a company that makes them aftermarket but $$$

Hey man I hear the forks go bad on those 200 es quite often. Mine are pretty bad have you ever rebuilt a set before?
