I agree with this video. I have 2006 Trx400ex with reverse. I bought it used and put it through hell. I’m talking thrown off mountains, drown in lake and keeping up with my buddies 450 dirt bikes. All I do is change the oil and oil filter and it just keeps going. My only major repair was changing the starter stator

If you are getting in and out of muddy water alot, Id encourage you to remove your swingarm pivot bolt, axle bolts and lock nuts on rearel axle. Lube them up with antiseize compound and then put back together. That 15 minutes could save you hours if you need to pull apart years later. Once that swingarm pivot is seized with corrosion in the bakc of the engine case, it needs heat, a jackhammer and a ton of penetrating oil to get it out. Thanks fro watching.

@@RecycledAndSaved thanks for the heads up bro. I changed my a-arms two years ago due to straight snapping my left upper arm from rolling off a mountain. It was cheaper to buy the set than replace the top with oem. I had little knowledge, I was about to throw the whole machine away from frustration. But good looking out, I love this machine so much. I’m looking up a video rn

I noticed that at 6:20 Im using the twist grip on this unit. I personally always put a twist grip on because I am a bike rider and used to that. Snowmobile guys tend to like the thumb throttle better - and that is what it comes with. Rider preference.

keep the air filter clean and sealed. Keep changing the oil. And adjust the chain. If its good now and if you do that, it will last longer than you.

@@videovibemedia as long as you aren't in deep water, shouldn't be an issue. Most competitive riders take them off for better air flow. Sometimes, you see guys drill holes in airbox so more air can get to the filter I wouldn't recommend the holes. but I woudn't worry about the missing lid. Just make sure you are running a clean well oiled air filter and that it is sealed well.
