I’d recommend magnaflows. Affordable and good smooth sound.

I was thinking the same thing. I have the thrush mufflers right now and it is low tone but I can’t hear it after 3000rpm. I was thinking of these magna flow cause it will be better. I don’t want it too loud but just so I can hear it at around 3000+rpm

@@kamaleon20002000 just a muffler alone will not give you power gains nor power loss in any form. Just awesome sound. If you go bigger piping then you may lose sone power as the engine and tuning is only tuned for factory specs.

Hello there. I have a 2000 CG6 V6 and I’m wondering if you know something about the exhaust system. I am running thrush turbo mufflers and it’s nice low and fair quiet but I can’t hear it after 3000rpm, and it gets really quiet. So I’m curious because you remove the resonator and cause I have mine, is that the reason of not hearing the sound?

The turbo mufflers are designed to be slightly louder than stock without compromising overall sound. The sound passes through multiple chambers , thus fairly quiet on high rpms. Try going for a straight chambered muffler (like the one I used to have, Magnaflow). It only uses one straight chamber as opposed to the turbo mufflers which uses multiple chambers to control the sound. The less chambers for the sound to pass through , the louder it will be. I'd avoid cutting the resonator as it will drone in the cabin. It sounds nice at first without a resonator , but it gets really annoying on the long run. Hope this helps.

If I remember correctly it was the Magnaflows and I deleted the big resonator that’s close to the cats.

The big exhaust resonator was deleted if I remember. I could tell because it sounds throatier. It didn’t sound like this when I had all resonators on. The stock cats are still on there.
