I’m confused here. R u saying work on the cylinder that shows up next as u crank to the next one? Or r u suppose to work them in their firing order…1, 4, 2, 5, 3, 6?

You work them in their firing order. FIREWALL 1 2 3 4 5 6 RADIATOR firing order 1 4 2 5 3 6

@@bundysgarage That’s what I thought. Example: if I start off with 2 cylinder finish adjustments then crank to cylinder until it reads 5 then 3, 6, 1, 4. Correct? There is conflicting vids out there on this. I just had to make sure. Btw, thank you so much for replying back to me! Huge thank you 🙏

Please feel free to comment, at your earliest convenience....i understand you are Super busy now. Thanks for this video - you're going to save me a lot of money when I do this on my 99 Cl 3.0. I nearly tried doing the timing belt based on the great video you did, but I chickened out in the end... I've got to do a fuel filter next- any chance you can do a video on this? It seems straight forward but looks like it's in a Nasty spot in the engine compartment, & I could use all the help I can get! Thanks again man!

Hello. My 2008 Ody 205k miles makes a slight knocking sound before it warms up then it mostly goes away. It’s much more noticeable before it warms up when the weather is cold (30’s). Could this be due to valves needing adjustment? Thanks in advance.
@bundysgarage
@bundysgarage 3 жыл бұрын
Yes it could be. Have you checked your oil to make sure it’s at the proper level? A low oil condition will cause that noise as well.

@@bundysgarage I installed quick twist oil drain plug that you can turn by hand when doing oil change about 2 oil changes ago that about 6 months ago. I have been hearing knock sounds on cold morning start only which lasted a few minutes. Do you think this drain plug does not give good seal to have enough pressure for oil to make it to top end? What do you recommend? Could this be the timing tensioner is going bad?

The dealership wants $685 to do this to my 2009 Acura TL sh-awd. Just turned a hundred thousand miles. Already had the timing belt done at the dealership as well as the tensioner pulleys and drive belt. Does it really make a difference? I thought you didn't need to adjust hydraulic lifters? How is this different? Thank you for your time
@bundysgarage

Yes you need to adjust the valve lash. They should have done it when the timing belt was replaced?

Thanks. I just did mine last weekend. My p0172 went away. Valve adjustments are very important for this engine. If you're having a performance problem and rulled out ignition, and fuel delivery issues; then check your valve clearance. Because this affects the air intake reading and can throw off your A/F rario.

Got a 2007 Honda pilot with random misfire during cold start up. Engine stops misfire when warm. Took it to a few mechanics and they could not figure out problem. Im thinking valve adjustment? Plugs and coil packs are ok

P0301, P0302, P0303, P0304, P0305, P0306, P0300. This mainly happens during cold morning starts. When I put the car into drive, or when I turn the engine off and restart misfire stops and car drives perfectly fine rest of the day

It sounds like one of your coil packs is going out, may be one or two.Get all the coil packs loose and easy access to them. When the car is cold start it up and start pulling the coil packs off the spark plugs one by one. As you do this you will hear the idle become more rough. If you don't hear this then the coil is not firing. I would check this before blaming an injector. As injectors usually don't come back to "life" after warming up. Let me know what you find out.

What was that on the oil filter
@josevega7680
@josevega7680 4 жыл бұрын
He put magnets on the outside of the filter to catch any metal BEFORE it goes in the filter. The magnet can theoretically catch small metal pieces that might pass through the filter. He put a hose clamp around them because sometimes they fall off while driving. Some people say this is bunk but I also do this with all my vehicles because it does work and it definitely can't hurt!
