2006 i rode from the UK to cape town on My XRV 750 down the west coast of Africa and We went the same way the Dakar would go Mauritania-Senegal My XRV 750 will always be with me i will never sell it. I am so Proud of what i achieved and the friends i made in Africa The Bond I have with my XRV 750 i just cannot explain it. These were the days when Dakar was so interesting to watch coz of the harsh climatic conditions in Africa, and the endurance which riders go through ,. It was a time when a bike was born in the far East, without a name , And baptized in in Africa as an African twin, love you all whom participated in this adventure 💕

New to the Motorcycle world (1 year so far), I got myself a 2000 XRV750 RD07 a few weeks ago and damm! I can understand what this all video is about, I live in Atacama Desert and the AT feels just like at home every time I go ride the desert. Thanks for such a good video.

The Cagiva is named "Elefant." I've got one with the "Lucky Explorer" graphics. 900 i.e. Ducati engine. But I also would like to have a 650 Africa Twin (1988-1898) The 750 was a different bike.

Racing is the soul of honda? This bike has 55cv. At the rear wheel pheraps 47. I have had and is the biggest bluff of motorbike stroy . Does 13,5 km liter. Is the slowest bike i had. The africa twin of paris dakar was TOTALLY DIFFERENT OF THE ROAD VERSION. AFTER THAT, HAS BEEN ONLY MARKETING FOR DUPES, WITH THE STORY OF THE QUEEN AND BLA BLA BLA.

There were more than one class i the Paris Dakar Race. Amateurs had standard bikes, pro riders had factory machines with loads more power. If your bike made 13.5 km/liter, something was wrong with it. That made it slow. ANd I am not a Honda man (any more) I've got a Cagiva Elefant 900.
