Cheers, appreciate the nice comment👍 The next one is on, it's all about suspension (episode 6). Should be able to see it in my playlist. 👍 I try do them when I can. Takes a while to edit, plus I'm aiming to race in March. Got loads to do 😂 You getting a CB for track?

@@SuggyRacing brilliant , yes wanting to build a purely track bike. Just looking for the bike. Cannot belive how clean your S was at the start.

Yeah it was very clean. The engine wasn't inside though. That was the only let down. I've had the engine fully rebuilt. I'll show that in a video soon. They are nice bikes to work on. Can't wait to have a go on it now 😊

Enjoying these. First track bike build I’ve done, and the project is now two years in (pandemic, self employed, two very young children… I’ve more excuses if needed) and it’s given me the focus to get it finished. Defo a big learning curve, tip I’ll give you: bearings in freezer! Makes them sooo much easier to press in due to the slightly smaller size.

Cheers for the comment, appreciate it👍Ha ha yeah it takes a long time to finish them doesn't it. I built a 600rr track bike in the first lock down, still yet to post that video of me building it. It's enjoyable to do though isn't it. Hope it's going well. Yeah I thought about the freeze technique, but these went in ok. It would make it easier on wheel bearings. Might try it when I replace them next time, and see if it makes it even easier for me 👍. As you've seen in the video, I like using the bolt to wind it in, just find that so much more 'refined' than me with a hammer 😂

у самого CB500. С нетерпением жду продолжение...Огромный плюс - то что действия идут почти без склеек и перемоток. Очень полезные и интересные видео!!!!!!!

Fantastic video mate, I'm chucking a new rear sprocket on my CB and when I took the old sprocket off the bearing literally fell out in bits. This video really helped see whats going on under the 22 years of muck

Ha ha, must have been well in need of a change. Yeah it's fairly easy to do, glad it helped. Stick a decent bearing in it's place, something like a koyo and it will be good for ages. Cheers for the nice comment 👍

I'm thoroughly enjoying this build series - thank you for documenting everything in such a clear and detailed way. I'm about to pull the trigger on a CB500 to do my own track/race bike build, and this is a hugely valuable resource. Despite the popularity of these bikes for racing and tracking, there is a real dearth of information out there on what is involved in a conversion, so this is brilliant. Thanks again. P.S. loud colours are always the best option (I'm going to go for black and fluoro yellow)

Hey cheers for the comment, really appreciate it. Makes it feel way more worth the effort to know it's helping others. I can't claim all the knowledge credit though, as I've had loads of help from other racers, so I guess this is my way of paying it back 😂 I think you'll love the conversion as it's actually quite a nice bike to work on. It's simple which makes it a great bike to do a full rebuild on. I had to get help with the engine and carbs though. I'm onto the fun stuff now, the rebuild part. So hopefully the next few videos will be interesting. Yeah bright is best on these bikes. They can't stand out with engine power 🤣, so have to stand out with colour. 👍

делай по больше детальных видео по разборке и сборке узлов мотоцикла. Так же очень полезно было бы измерять параметры подшипников и прочих элементов. также ОЧЕНЬ интересно глянуть на разборку и правильную настройку карбюраторов.

Hi how are you? I'm loving your motorcycle videos. I'm from Brazil and this week I bought a CB 500 year 2000. Watching your video I fell in love with this model with the front fairing. In Brazil we don't have this model and my project is to put this front fairing on my cb 500. Unfortunately it doesn't exist for sale in Brazil :(

Hi. Thanks for the comment 👍 Glad you like the videos. Yeah the CB500 is a nice bike, it does look really nice with the fairing on it. Hope you manage to get your bike looking how you want it.

Good afternoon, how are you? where did you buy that service manual? can you give me the link where you bought it? thanks!!

It was just from eBay. I just searched 'Haynes manual CB500 93 to 01'. There should be a few of them on eBay. 👍

I put my bearings in the freezer - and use grease - seems to help but it's altogether a horrible process - hate it.

I'll give this a try next time I change them over. 👍
