you know, my dad owns a '19 CB500x and I used to thought it was a boring lookin bike, and probably boring to ride too. Until I rode it... if I were ever met someone who scoffs at this bike, I would told 'em:"You'll be surprised to know what you can do with 48 horses" :))

I'm 63 and got a 2019 cb500x 4 years ago, it's a great bike so much so that I will say it's my favorite bike I have ever owned in 44 years. That is saying something because I have owned some nice bikes...1985 Nighthawk S, 1984 Kawasaki 750 turbo, 97 Suzuki Bandit, 2000 sv650, 2002 Hayabusa, 2008 Bandit 1250 just to name a few.

Yeah man... It means more or less: "WTF?" or "WTF you want?", depending on the circumstances. In Italy we always use it, it's like our representative gesture. In this case, I think he's in Greece but we're very very akin with the Greeks in many ways.

Had the mk1 cb500f for a year and 12k km,before i had the mk1 sh300 for 120k km.Acceleration was roughly similar up to 120km then the cb pulled slightly better to 140km(sh's top speed)and then slowly going up to 170. So in terms of speed performance nothing too dissimilar,except of course for top speed.However in terms of cornering and general road behaviour the cb was FAR SUPERIOR as it was a proper bike and NOT A SCOOTER. It was also far simpler to tinker with and was not covered with plastics prone to breakage.Get the cb500x,it is a very nice and easy do it all package with a range of about 350km,perfect for winding mountain roads,fire roads,travelling,city riding,you name it.

I'm stuck between the 500x and the 500f or even a suzuki sv650 for my A2 next year. Which would you recommend. I'm coming from a 125.

If you're coming from 125 the cb500x will suit you very well. It's easy to ride and very forgiving.

Αν θυμάμαι έχει 5500-6000 στα 120-130. Ταξιδάκι μονοκάβαλο πάει χωρίς σκέψη. Δικάβαλο πιστεύω θα σε δυσκολέψει αν χρειαστείς πχ προσπέραση σε επαρχιακό δρόμο κάποιο μακρύ όχημα φορτηγό-λεωφορειο. Πάνω από 1.83 ύψος θα χρειαστείς ζελατίνα. Εγώ είμαι στο ψάξιμο

θέλω πολύ καιρό τώρα να γυρίσω την Ευρώπη με μηχανή. Σκέφτομαι την cd500x. θεωρεί ότι θα ήταν οκ για κάτι τέτοιο? γενικά μέχρι 400km την ημέρα σκέφτομαι με 3ς τσάντες. Αντίστοιχα έχεις να προτείνεις κάποιο άλλη μηχανή. το budget είναι μέχρι 9000 μαχ

Oδηγησα ενα απο δαυτα την περασμενη κυριακη για κανα 40αρι χλμ ,αρκετα επιθετικα θα έλεγα, και δεν ανεβηκε πανω απο 4 λίτρα. Το mk1 cb500f που ειχα για ένα χρονο μου εκαιγε 4,5 παντως σαν μεση καταναλωση.
