I'm in the USA and can find non-ethanol luckily. But I always use Sta-bil anyway over the cold months.

Were going to have to live with the crap they give us and just make the best of it. I can't see us going back to the old stuff, we can but hope😁

I have one of these bikes which I bought for £650 a few years ago and it's a surprisingly good little run about. I enjoyed the videos you did on the model, and yours is a very nice example and well looked after. On the winter lay up, E10 and water worries; I'd say that since the alcohol can only extract water from the air, and since the tank is sealed, all you need do is fill it up to the top with E10 and shut the lid down? How else can air and water get in? Water already in the tank though is a different problem. I make sure if my bikes are laid up a good while, that I drain the carbs. Then they start first click of the button come the better weather. Cheers and thanks for the vids.

That's what i do ,fill to the top for winter. ESSO E5 has no ethanol so use that for last couple of tanks, before winter, and a cap of stabal fuel stabilizer. Always shut fuel taps just down the road so carbs are about empty. we all have our little rituals.

Well my theory is stabiliser in a full to the brim tank so there’s very little air gap in top of thank, make sure it’s got through to the cab’s, only use V power E5 or the equivalent. And for the last 4 years winter lay ups of roughly 5 months at a time, I’ve had no problems come spring, then it’s a good long run to burn the old fuel off, and fill up with fresh. It works for me on all my classic. Cheers Martin ⚙️🔩🔧👍

Yes that's pretty much same for me, although i use Esso super as it has no ethanol, from what the Vincent club have found out from a letter to Esso YB

@@yorkshirebiker1293 I’ve Heard that, will give Esso ago, there’s one at Ackworth about 2 miles from me. A bigwig at Esso online said that most of there stations had on ethanol in there Super, even though they have ethanol five stickers on the pump, that’s just a legal requirement by the government, he said they can put up to 5% in but don’t have to. So win win for classic. Cheers Martin.

I visited a mate one October day last year and he was filling his classic bikes up with that Aspen white gas stuff. It is a form of white petrol and has no alcohol in it. It ain't cheap, let me tell you, but he reckons it is worth the money. He claims the bikes run perfectly on it, but it is probably three times the price of ordinary petrol. I have not tested any of these claims for myself. I am simply reporting what he did, and what he said.

Nice little video Pete Installed my riders back rest from China a bit tight fitting but looks great now . Roads a bit messy over here so wing left in garage. How do you find the heated waist coat I have one and it’s a bit cheap and nasty I suppose you’ll u get what you pay for .
@yorkshirebiker12932 жыл бұрын
The waist coat for the money is ok ,I've a kies one and it's in a different league, and very good, never had it set above 3, but I think about £200. You will after let me know what you think of back rest after you have a ride. Got my screen from skidmark, not fitted yet, but looks good. Got no where with Hunt's, did not even ring me back
