clutch pushrod seal = yep. I think they are my #1 culprit on UJM crankcase leaks. and sometimes that clutch actuator is buried behind hoses, exhaust, whatever.

How's she goin'? Showing the basket case some love, gotta like that!!! I think it was a good idea to change the seals. The best thing for a seal is to use it and I think since this sat for so long, they dried out and that's where the leak was coming from. Showed some nice tips too!!! Thanks for that!!! Hope you have a great 2020!!! Take 'er easy!!!

The pushrod seal is notorious for leaks, even popping out if the pressure inside the crankcase gets to high. I know you didn't show it, but you did put the metal ball back in at the end of the pushrod, right? Keep the videos coming!

I hope so I explained I put the rod in backwards so I am going to take it back apart make sure things are right. It is hard to film and pay attention to what you are doing, and I am still learning on motorcycles. I think you gave me the info before about the seal popping out, I appreciate all the information I can get. lol!

They look like Dunstall mufflers which are very high quality and$$$. You should save them and put on some out of your stash or maybe shorties.

Put a ~2” compression spring of varying diameters in clutch pushrod and shifter shaft to prevent any pressurized blowouts

The clutch rod seal might leak. If so when replacing take the burr off the cases edge for the seal. This also gives it just enough taper to slide the seal.
@kentuckyyankee5 жыл бұрын
Yeah didn't think of doing that, but that would be a better way. I don't think it will leak though may have looked worse on video. Wasn't too bad. Thanks for the tip I'm gonna steal it might be in a future video 😆
