Road trip to the 2015 Spring Event at the Loring Timing Association. We drove up, thrashed on my 1968 Honda CL450, set a new record, and tested our winter camping skills!

I owned a 1972 450 when I was 16. Bought it second hand in 1975 for $600.00. I would get it over 100mph fairly often and even got it to 115 one time.

I've had my 69 CB450 well up above 120. rebuilt top end, tuned by my local reliable wrench, electronic ignition replacing the points, and twin mikunis linked and synched replacing those old CVs. I've also got a smaller rear sprocket and lighter rear rim off a 74 CB450. she really surprised me the first time I actually let her run. passed a sportster on the freeway with the speedo pegged far past what it had stated on it, and the guy tried to catch up... tried. only one who could hang with me in the straights was my buddy on a 2017 CB1000R.
