Honda CB750 HORNET First Impressions

Honda revived it's iconic Hornet with a two cylinder engine instead of a four and stuck the CB750 badge on it. However the changes are a lot more than that, and in this episode we go for a first ride.

I bought one in November 2023. Had to spend a further £850 to make it road worthy (fender extender, rear hugger, screen, etc, etc,) for every day use. At 5'9" it fits me very well. Took it to the Picos and Pyrenees this year and it was excellent. The only down side is the quality of the paint. Mine's black and the tank had very noticeable wear marks in under 1,000 miles. Put a claim in and in effect was told to go forth and multiply as it's standard with modern water based paints. I've spoken to a pro paint sprayer and he sort of confirmed that - apparently they cheap out on the laquer protection. I've since noticed that many manufacturers now seem to put stickers on areas that are susceptible to wear. 🤔

ENGLISH - I did a testride and I kinda liked it mostly because of the quickshifter, it was the first time when I tried one. Bike is small, nimble, quite powerful for a middle weight naked but it feels small for me, I'm 1.85m and 85kg, I have the impression that I look strange on it, comfort wise it was ok, after 30 minutes of riding my back felt a little tired because of the upright position and the seat isn't too much comfortable at least for me. RO - Chiar mă gândeam în ce țară este filmat când am văzut pisica traversand, mi-am dat seama în scurt timp după șosele și trafic 😄

Great to have you back--always enjoy your reviews! I agree fully with your comments on "lane sharing," as we call it here in California, the only US state where it's legal. I get very nervous depending on the discretion/alertness of drivers when I am out of state.

In other words - if those "geniuses" at Honda would have installed cruise control and tubeless wheels on their TRANS..... it potentially, could be a pretty nice bike - not a useless F...K knows what - it is today 🤔🤔 Good review. Agree with the most.
